Hey guys, I just got the VGP-CKTZ2/B for only $65!!!!!! including shipping on Ebay. Here's a link to my winning bid:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200143368453

I suggest you look up this guy more often to see if he ever posts something like this again (or maybe just look for anyone on Ebay in general.)

Anyway, it just arrived and it fits the TZ PERFECTLY. For those wondering, no it's not a hard case but it is still made out of leather and soft enough in the inside where it won't cause any scratches. I think there's enough foam inside to absorb enough shock. Also it has a magnetic strap with 2 options to snap it for either if u have a standard/light battery, or the biggest battery. I have all 3 btw o_O . Oh ... and no pockets for the plug or anything, just the lappy.

EDIT: I actually just read the box, and it claims that it's not shock resistant after all...LOL. It still feels good enough in my opinion though for light drops I guess? Good enough for me =D

Lucky you. It's sad that duffyanneal sold his TZ and his accessories, but I'm glad some of them went to a fellow NBRer.

I like my VGP-CKTZ2/B as well. If I paid how much you did, I would like it a hell of a lot more!

Oh wow...I guess I bought it so quick, I didn't even realize who I bought it from until u mentioned it  I just looked at his old auction on his TZ90 as well....that was a good deal also!!! Anyway if you're reading this duffyanneal, thanks again!

Nanaki...have you ever dropped the TZ in the case yet? Would u consider it pretty durable?

I have, and yeah I would. It's not the best out there, but most of the ones that are don't hold a candle to its looks.

I have the bulk battery, and it does fit nicely.

Lucky you! Unfortunately, I bought one from Bravo Electronics on eBay and they turned out to be a lousy outfit. Never gave me an update on shipping and I had to ping them to find out that it was "supposed" to ship last Thursday.

One week later and I still don't have the bag. Got an auto-response on my order cancellation request today -- he's gone for the holiday weekend, of course.

    Hi all,

Recently joined this forum, after purchasing the Vaio TZ and am just loving this forum! great loads of info, and good ppl around!

Re. the case for the TZ, i purchased mine from a Shopping mall in Bangkok -
    its of HELLOLULU,
    http://www.hellolulu.com/product/10+_product.html

I bought it in the Green color, as black was too common, and white looked great but wud dirty very soon! browns i dont like ;)

What can i say guys, its just great! before choosing this, i had seen around 20-30 diff. laptop bags there, and then finally came up on this one, and picked it up without hesitation! The quality is great, and the laptop is well protected, and lots of storage pockets, with option of storage space behind the bag too, which can be converted into a slide hole to put the bag above ur Cabin bag's trolley handle. there is a pocket like thing towards the top inside the bag which is a great fit for my MS Wireless Mouse, and a mobile/ipod holder on the outside too.
Its lightweight, with nice cushioning inside too. It fits the TZ nice, but does have some free space on sides, as its actually meant for laptops upto 15".

I purchased it for around US$80 in bkk.

    Hope this helps!

PS: I am planning to buy the VGP-CVT1/T too as that wud help protect the TZ while in use on tables and other rough surfaces. I have 2 worries over it..

    1. i see that it is stuck to the laptop using some gel, so will that gel leave a mark on the laptop?

    2. If its gel, is it secured tightly on the laptop? wont it come off while using - putting inside the laptop bag and taking out from it, basically i want to know if its stuck real good to it, that it musnt come off easily.

those who are using it now, cud u please give me more details on this leather case?
