    Did you have to overclock?

No. This is without overclocking. If I overclock, it still reads 6.5.

I wouldn't worry about it. As long as your Nvidia 330 is performing at the right clock speeds then you're fine. These WEI scores are very fickle.

I have a problem with intel graphics after installing these drivers. The Z only wants to work in speed and auto mode. If I switch to stamina, black screen.

for sony vgn z i am still looking for the original inf and if possible with the full package in zip or rar

This is only test release for those who wanted to try...

Ever since I upgraded my VGN-Z570N from Vista to Win 7 Home Premium, my battery life does no improve when I switch from Speed to Stamina.

Everything works, I get the usual warning prompts when switching, and after I switch when I go to graphics properties it does switch from the Nvidea control panel to the Intel control panel, but my battery life does not change (abouy 2.5 hours on a full charge).

    Any ideas?

Probably something wrong with the switching. As in the switching works but it doesn't turn of the dedicated graphics.

Task Manager doesn't show anything unusual...the two highest CPU intensive apps areTask Manager and DWM.exe which both fluctuate between 1% and 2%.

I have to try some different things, but I've upgraded through to the 260.99 set (thanks for the ups, BTW), but now I'm having the same problem you are. GPUSniffer says I don't have a CUDA-enabled GPU.

Do you think doing a full uninstall (drivercleaner) and clean install would help with the Nvidia card being recognized as CUDA-enabled when switching?

[Edit:] Well, I tried, and it didn't seem to make a difference. You have to boot in Speed and leave it that way to keep CUDA enabled, from what I can tell. Anyone know of a workaround, to re-enable CUDA without a reboot?

    Hello All,

i got the new Z series VPCZ138GA, and whenever it switches from stamina to speed or vice versa, i get a messages about making changes and the two processes that it alway complains about are msnmsgr.exe and skype.exe

i already added a new string value called Whitelist in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Hybrid but that did not solve the problem.

looking for help on this matter.

Uploading the new nvidia 262.99 for the new 580 series today.

Modded for the Z with hybrid.

There might be an issue with brightness control but a reinstall of the driver might also change it.

For some reason brightness is locked at 100% (don't care much as I always have it there) but thats the only thing that doesn't seem to work right now.

I do very rarely use my laptop on battery or stamina settings so I need someone else to do the testing. but like I said, they are good game performance, if you want the absolute best battery life, you are probably better off with the 188 series drivers.

Sounds good, I think I'm going to stick with your 260.99 drivers. Everything works as expected while getting great performance. Thanks!

oh, does anyone know how to disable the NVIDIA control panel after the right click when in Stamina Mode? It seems that the NVIDIA control panel appears in the right click in both speed and stamina when it should only be available in speed...

Actually i think it's supposed to be showing both. Since actually both drivers are always (partially) loaded into the system.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I remember the stock 190 drivers would show "graphic properties" when in stamina, and would disappear and show "NVIDIA control panel" in speed. :/

I installed the 262.99 drivers and my brightness control still works both in speed and stamina mode.

Maybe the Nvidia control panel is still shown beacause with these drivers there's also the small Nvidia icon in the taskbar wich tells you in wich mode you are. I'm no expert, so it's just and hypotesis.

hmm 262.99 is only for 580 or desktop. no point of updating.

    edit:
for the right click and control panel item, after 191.07(if i am not wrong) this thing will always be there, and this is nvidia problem not intel.

can you also help with the switching issue that the msnmsgr.exe is always preventing the switch. i tried whielisting in the registry but that didnt work. i have the default driver version 8.16.11.9024

You should shutdown msn messenger before you switch because programs like that use your graphics card. Thats just normal. When you shutdown msn messenger the window of the switching issue will dissapear and the graphics card will change.

I have been trying for three days now (and several trips to Frys) to add another external monitor to my Z. Right now, I am using the Z's display in addition to one external monitor (at 1200x1600) that is connected to the DVI port on the docking station. I would like to add a second external monitor for a total of 3 displays (Z's display plus two external). I have tried a USB-to-DVI adapter that uses DisplayLink (Diamond BVU-195) and the EVGA UV-16 (also DisplayLink). In both cases, the Z does not start up after I install the drivers (I'm using the latest ones too!). Apparently, DisplayLink won't support Nvidia/Intel hybrid graphics.

At this point, I'm open to ViDock, ViBook (I have a VtBook but the Z has an ExpessCard slot, not a PC Card slot), DualHeadtoGo, etc.... anything as long as it works. Unfortunately, at this point, I'm lost like a child in the desert and need some guidance (badly!).

VAIO VGN-Z670N (bought in April 2009)
    Vista Business (32 bit)
    Nvidia Driver 7.15.11.7449
    BIOS R3054M3

    Please help.

    Thank you very much,
    Andy.

I use the DisplayLink technology successfully at home and at the office. (I'm using some no-name, third-party devices I got at Central Computers down in the Peninsula.)

At home I have a screen hanging off of the DVI port on the docking station and two DisplayLink devices (1920x1200). At the office I have one screen on the DVI port and 3 screens on the DisplayLink devices (1920x1080).

I'm running the 190.24 drivers. I do get some annoying messages when coming out of sleep mode. Otherwise I'm reasonably satisfied.

I'm still trying to figure out if if the 260.xx and 261.xx and 262.99 drivers offer anything real in terms of performance over the official drivers?

Have anyone actually tested something in numbers? to me it seems like the 262.99 is the fastest.. but also the ones running the hottest after a while.

But I have no ACTUAL data to back this up yet, only looking at my sc2 replays at times.
