what files do you actually need?
-edit1:
coolguy i am uploading the extracted file. It is not installed and zipped version so don't need to worry.
-edit2:
uploaded http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VCJ1F1BR hope this will help
-
Yes... I see what you mean now.
-
this driver also made using installshield, extracting need extra steps.

Hi Andrew08. Have you tried building a hybrid graphics driver package using nvidia 275.33 and intel 2266? If so, any luck?
-
I haven't try 275.33 yet, the problem here is i don't have the files required for hybrid graphic, if i combine old hybrid graphic files with new intel driver, if i succeed, switching will works but all application will show errors and games won't start.
-
With this, the driver installs, but brightness control doesn't work. So Komeil Bahmanpour has done something more...
-
The way I see it, Intel 2266 is the last driver with which the hybrid files work properly. Any later Intel driver is likely to have issues (until we get hold of a later version of nvbridge_int.kmd). So if you try merging nVidia 275.33 and Intel 2266, it just might work.
Pls check this post too:

With "VGNZ Nvidia 26308 - Intel 2020" and "VGNZ Nvidia 26308 - Intel 1994rev3" my vgn-z31wn have a problem already mentioned by someone: I can switch from nvidia to intel but not from intel to nvidia. Any suggestion?
-
I have no video output trough HDMI with the 275.33 drivers (the audio is working) on hacked BIOS, like with the Optimus drivers, is anyone else having the same issue?
-
That is very strange. I'll check it when I get home. I use DVI for video. I use the HDMI for my projector, but I haven't watched anything on it since I upgraded to the latest drivers.
-
I made a non-hybrid modded INF for 9300M GS (with OEM settings). Download the 64-bit Nvidia Verde driver and replace the attached "nvac.inf" in the "Display.driver" folder, run setup to install the driver. You need to install this driver in Speed mode.
I don't know if this work will work right with the hybrid switching model. I will re-upload another one, if this inf doesn't work right.Attached Files:
-
-
Download the original 275.33 (from nVidia web site) and try update only nvszc.inf with the attached one and try install it again.
View attachment nvszc.zip
I've fixed brightness control. So it should work as well. nvszc.inf contains all mobile specific settings, so I thought that's the best one to update rather than other inf file. It works great for me with mod BIOS (Video Static mode).
When uninstalling the current nVidia driver try disconnect internet to prevent Windows Update automatically installing driver for you just in case. -
I rolled back to 270.61, set the HDMI settings and then installed the 275.33 without the clean install and now everything works fine, video and audio. Probably it was just some wrong setting.
-
HDMI Video and Audio working here with 275.33 on my Sony BRAVIA KDL-40EX400
I am using the drivers that are on my site http://computercowboy.com/Downloads/nVidia_275.33.zip
EDIT: @Mesenzio: Glad you got it worked out! I always uninstall all the old nVidia drivers, then custom install the new with the "clean install" option checked. -
For brightness control,
you need this line under [nv_miscBase_addreg__xx] wehre xx number can be found if you follow the section you're modifying.
HKR,,EnableBrightnessControl,%REG_DWORD%,0x1
If you haven't done that already and you already have driver installeed,
Just go edit the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000
And add the following reg value:
EnableBrightnessControl REG_DWORD 1
You will need to reboot after modifying the registry. -
HDMI don't work
-
Hey guys, is there any chance to get something newer than 191.90 (posted on first page) for VGN-Z model (VGN-Z540 with 9300M GS) on Vista x32? :/ As i see, there're drivers only for 64 bit systems.
Grateful for any info! -
Maybe it's time to upgrade, shadowzip
Anyway, I still love my "old" VGN-Z. I just finished playing the demo of Duke Nukem Forever. Didn't expect I'll be able to run it at all, but it was in fact quite playable. Of course, all settings low, but still it's pretty nice
-
You need to install the Intel GPU driver for HDMI.
-
No... you don't
-
i did all modify .inf in display.driver folder
but doesn't work HDMI sound
what do i do for this.. -
I think the root of the problem lies here. Both Intel and nVidia devices and drivers are capable of providing HDMI output, causing confusion. In device manager there are two High Definition Audio Controller (hdaudbus.sys), one of which is disabled. You can enable it successfully, but it gets disabled again at next reboot.
Perhaps someone can try modifying the Intel graphics driver to remove support for HDMI, forcing all HDMI related activities to use the nVidia GPU. -
I will make one more modded inf. You need to uninstall all the GPU drivers, then install the Intel driver first, and then the Nvidia driver with the modded inf.
-
I don't own a Z, so really doesn't know which GPU controls the HDMI in Speed mode. Are both Intel and Nvidia GPU's active all the time?
-
I would at least move to Win 7 x64, but due to "perfect" Sony costumer service, no drivers provided on their web seem to work. I've tried Win 7, but still had to move back to pre-installed Vista, cause I couldn't make Fn keys work and some strange error was popping up all the time, saying that I should check my battery, if it is connected properly.
-
LOL You don't own a Z; I don't own a HDMI monitor/TV; we're both trying to help out the best we can.
Case 1: hybrid graphics, hybrid drivers. Stamina mode, only Intel GPU is ON. Speed mode, both GPUs are ON, but nVidia is doing all the work; Intel is just steering the output to the display. The manual says that to use HDMI you should switch to speed mode, i.e. force the nVidia GPU ON.
Case 2: hybrid graphics, optimus drivers. Both GPUs are ON all the time. Which GPU does the work depends on the application (list from nVidia) or manual selection (run this app using this GPU). -
It's pretty easy to install Windows 7 x64 on VGN-Z, if you know the right order. Just follow this guide along with newest version of mentioned drivers (use those for latest VGN-Z) and you'll get fully functional Win7 on your Z. If you have further question, don't hesitate to PM me, so we wouldn't spam this thread.
-
On the Z, if you have static VGA switching, the HDMI does not work on Stamina/Intel.
Sure Intel drivers support HDMI but the hardware doesnt work that way.
No that is the point of the hybrid graphics. Although it is my impression that with speed mode and hybrid graphics both are enabled. With BIOS hack and static VGA it is only Intel on stamina and only nVidia on speed mode. -
That was kind of my point. If the drivers support it, but the hardware isn't wired up to support it, then the HDMI signal will get lost en route, and that is what I suspect is happening. The system has to be told in no uncertain terms that HDMI data has to be sent to the nVidia GPU.
I'll try to get my hands on an HDMI capable display; then we can have a more intelligent discussion. ATM I can but theorise. -
hey folks I'm on a vgn-z (690)
I'm having trouble getting my stamina speed switch to work.
When switching, my system goes through a loop of displaying the switch prompt and the active programs notification.
The same is true when trying to use the NVidia switching UI.
I'm running the latest stable release of the community drivers posted here:
nvidia 263.09 and intel 1994 and bios ver. R5031M3.
Anyone have advice. I'm including a screen grab of my registry settings under "HKLM\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Hybrid"
Any guidance would be helpful.
I've mucked around a bit with various drivers in the past and would not be surprised if my registry here is a bit of a jumble of older installation entries.
As an asside:
I'm also thinking that in that top post a ".reg" files for the various scenarios will be helpful for everyone (those who prefer the soft UI switch, etc).Attached Files:

Speaking of which, a while ago someone posted this youtbe video of Crysis 2 running on a nVidia GT330M and Core i5
YouTube - crysis2 nvidia gt 330m gameplay‏
I thought it was a matter of drivers, but even after updating to 270.61 I still couldn't get that performance (I haven't tried on 275.33 tough). Of course I used the advanced graphical settings, and tried both with overclocked GPU and normal settings. Did someone else try? -
Maybe the dude was just full of crap and it was on a different computer. I mean you can't actually see the laptop.
-
According to a comment, the guy is using a Toshiba Satellite A500 (Sorry, French page but you still car read the specs).
Maybe the difference would come from the 1Go dedicated memory VS 512Mo for the Z <- Z has 1Go also. Stopping drinking and going to bed
Also remember that he is playing on 1366x768 and that the VAIO-Z GT330M is underclocked (Core/Memory/Shader).
The strange thing is according to Noteboockcheck's gaming list, the GT330M should not be able to run Crysis 2 with "Extreme" settings.
Maybe some more graphical options are disabled on his Nvidia Control Panel. Last possibility is trying to update DirectX (Why not). -
Correct me if I am wrong but I was almost certain that the Z has 1GB dedicated to the 330M.
EDIT: It does have 1GB dedicated... see this page click on specifications, it is listed in about the middle of the page under graphics -
Mea culpa. I stop drinking right now and I correct. Sorry.
-
I couldn't have a decent framerate on Crysis 2 with my Z.
It even went worse with o/c.
:/ -
Try the attached INF. Uninstall the current Nvidia driver. You need to install the intel GPU driver too.

Hello,
Ever since I reinstalled my VGN-Z11VN/B (first gen Vaio Z) with Windows7 64bit I've been unable to get graphics switching to work. However I got this working fine on my previous install (also Win7 64bit). I don't know what I did wrong this time. I've respected the driver installation order as mentioned in a number of threads on this and other forums (there were some inconsistencies though). I tried both Nautilus' package (260.63 + 2020) and the latest official drivers (187.35 + 1872). Both failed to get the switching working and Nautilus' package caused my screen to flicker. Also I don't get audio over HDMI.
Any ideas?
I don't have much time to spend on this problem, so unless there is a simple solution (no inf file hacking), I would like to ask the following:
Is anyone of the experts here willing to compile a new driver package for my system (first gen vaio + win7 64bit) consisting of the _very latest_ nvidia drivers and the _very latest_ intel driver (preferably installable from a single installer) and willing to help me installing it through chat in case of any trouble. I'm willing to pay (though paypal). PM me your price if you have the required skills and are willing to help me. Thanks in advance!
I don't know if this is at all "done". If not, just tell me. -
Are Andrew08's Nvidia 26314 - Intel 2281 drivers Optimus?
-
No, those are hybrids
FWIW the blog post I linked to about 3D Vision does NOT apply to the hybrid drivers. I have gotten 3D Vision working with the Hybrids (version 260.xx by Nautis IIRC) -
Have you gotten Hybrid working with Andrew08's Nvidia 26314 - Intel 2281 drivers?
-
26314 2266 is more stable
-
Maybe someone can help me?
-
need to add some missing registry. please check the link.
-
I cheked your link VGNZ Hybrid graphic driver 26308 - 1994 signed beta, I read only the instruction for install your driver, but I did not found any registry key. Could you give me that key or put in your link that instruction?
Thanks a lot! -
Thanks for reminding me!
-
Hey andrew, any plans on updating the signed drivers to the latest versions? Just asking, no rush
-
LOL I'm waiting patiently for these too. Until we find a newer version of nvbridge_int.kmd, I don't think we'll be able to get beyond Intel 2266 without issues, but we just might be able to get a newer version of the nVidia driver to work. I'm hoping for 275.33 + 2266. Until then, I'll stick with Andrew08's 263.14 + 2266 - working perfectly on my system.
-
I just downloaded and installed the 263.14 2266 and it works fine on VPCZ1390x. However, I can no longer access full screen brightness. Anyone else with that problem? Cheers
