I am hoping there is an easy way to get rid of the hidden partition without reinstalling the OS (I made a recovery disk for safe keeping).

I have the 100GB hard drive in it. It only shows the drive is 84.8GB because I assume the hidden restore partition is taking up the other space. I've removed just about every craplet on it. I was also surprised how big the Windows folder was. And anyone know what the 2GB hiberfil.sys and pagefile.sys files are? Any big ticket items I can delete? I saw a post where someone said that Windows/SonySys is a backup copy of Windows Vista. Can I just delete that folder? I only have Outlook/Office 2007 installed and am shocked at how much space is taken up. If I did delete Windows/SonySys, I would like to make a copy of it (someone said it can be used to instal Vista). Has anyone tried this? Is it really the entire folder or do I really want to just burn the contents of the WAU folder onto a DVD? If so, what should I name the DVD?

Thank you for your help! I was tempted to switch to XP, but I like the look and feel of Vista and won't be using this for much except email/office while on the road (or my local coffee shop). Of course, once Apple comes out with an ultraportable, this puppy will be on ebay :). Has anyone run tests of XP vs Vista to show definitively how much faster it is? And what about battery life?

hiberfil.sys and pagefile.sys are, as their name implies, system files. Page file is basically a cache on your HD to improve performance and hiberfil.sys is the Hibernation file (which is not needed if you don't use hibernation often). I recently did a fresh install on my Dell notebook and Vista itself takes about 10GB. Programs (Office 2007 Enterprise, CS 3 Web Premium, etc) took another 7 GB.
