I believe the Intel 945GMS chipset in your laptop can only support up to 2GB or ram, so I would be skeptical that the 4GB stick would work on your TZ.

If you have the 945GM, then the chipset is able to recognize 4GB without any issues. The next thing to consider is if Sony has put a limit on the maximum ram capacity in the BIOS. Since I don't own a TZ with a 945GM chipset, I'd rather not speculate by giving you the wrong information and risk helping you lose $200  Hopefully other TZ owners can chime in with their personal experiences.

    2GB.
I will wait for other comments and opinions about it.Thanks

I know for a fact that Lenovo laptops with 945GM chipset is limited to 3GB. This is a hardware limit, not a BIOS limit. That means that you won't be able to use a 4GB RAM stick even if Sony BIOS allows it. Better save your money.

May be you could download a trial version of Everest Ultimate. I forgot this before but Everest was one of the few software that detected my chipset correctly for my TX.

I think that if you go for it you will have to treat this an experiement, a quite costly one at that.
