LoL, I figured keep it in the same thread so i don't take up more room. Plus it would be easier to compare to the first page with all those games posted.

Well, this thread is not really about the SR (despite the title) but rather about the capabilities of the HD3470 videocard since pretty much all the benchmarks I did and information I shared came from my FW and not the SR. So, including another videocard would only confuse people and make things complicated. :p

Just got World in Conflict. Running it on LOW settings, and getting 32 fps average.

I'm so pumped that the thread i started 15 months ago is still running strong. I'm still a huge fan of the SR, but am damn glad that sony stepped it up and made a more legitimate effort on the graphics capabilities of the SR. The 128mb 3470 is kinda weak. I'm glad that now the SR is a powerhouse with the 4570!

In addition, i will try to scour the forum and update with the additional gaming info people have provided.

    Yeah, nice work TheBigPants27!

Question for someone who knows more about video cards: What are the chances that we can play Dragon Age: Origins in Vista with the 3470?

Minimum specs for Vista are "ATI Radeon X1550 256MB or greater".
Minimum specs for XP are "ATI Radeon X850 128MB or greater".

The OP suggests that 256 isn't always better than 128, and I'm wondering how much of a difference it can make if 128 is OK in XP. How does our card compare to the X series?

Not sure if this belongs in this thread but does anyone know if the Madcatz TE stick will work on the SR?

update 9.12 is out now, but its a pain in the butt for XP users since 9.9. i updated from 9.9 and the catalyst control window just wont open.

my current remedy is to update to 9.9 as well as 9.9 hydravision. then download the most current driver update, mod it with mobility modder and manually update the driver through control panel.

BTW, my driver says HD3470 now! i know its just a number thing but im glad its right.

Time to revive this thread. ATI today released the first Mobility Drivers available to the public (10.3):

    Vista/7 32-bit:
    http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-32.aspx

However, in true Sony fashion... they do not work on Vaio laptops so they still need to be modified to work on Vaios with ATI cards.

More info on the cards supported:
    http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-64.aspx

The following notebooks are not supported in this release:

    * Any notebook launched after this driver release.
    * Switchable Graphics enabled notebooks using Intel chipsets.
    * Toshiba notebooks (please check with your notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
    * Sony VAIO notebooks (please check with your notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
