    Hi,
Currently I have 2GB RAM in it, I wanted to put in another 1GB RAM when I put the RAM in the other slot it does not workout.
What happens is the system does not boot , its just black screen, can not go into bios even if I press F2.
When I remove the extra RAM its fine,

However if I remove the existing RAM and put the new RAM in the same slot where I removed the RAM from it works,

But any RAM put in slot 2 just does not work... (nor do they work collecectively)

I tried putting my existing 2GB RAM in slot 2 and left other slot blank, does not work..

    Any ideas ?

My bios is R0250YO , do you think it could be BIOS issue ? or Slot is corrupt ?

    Thanks,
    Ahmed

May be it's worth mentioning RAMS are different brands, one samsung and the other is different .. they used to work together in the same laptop earlier untill some months ago I encountered some hanging and blue screens so I removed 1GB RAM and left 2GB in there and then system worked fine.

Interesting thing is 1GB alone works fine
and same true about 2GB alone,

    but in Slot 1 only,

in Slot 2 only no RAM works ..
