Nothing can be done about that as HWiNFO32 (or any software) that accesses hardware at that level needs administrator rights. Martin confirmed that a long time ago.

The only way I know to get rid of the UAC box that pops up is to disable UAC in win 7. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT THIS BE DONE, but others seem to be comfortable with it off.
I just found Download UAC Trust Shortcut 1.0 Free - Bypass your UAC with this tool. - Softpedia
This program works, i have UAC set to max, I was able to set an exception in the program and Hwinfo launches w/o UAC prompt. Only issue is that the tray icon for the UAC trust program does not seem to work, I had to lauch it from the program list.

Mfractal Thanks for your response a few posts above.

Just confirmed with Martin again, nothing changed from a year ago.
Either disable UAC or press that button every time.

Is there any other hw monitor that can display CPU/GPU/HD temps and CPU/GPU clocks as icons in notification area? I'll use it until HWiNFO gets updated with CPU clocks.

    Everest/AIDA64 can't detect ATI card.

HWiNFO32 now introduces the support of RivaTuner OSD (Statistics) Server which allows displaying of any HWiNFO32 sensor values in DirectX applications/games.

Download HWiNFO32 v3.80 Build 1271 which introduces this feature:
    www.hwinfo.com/beta/hw32_380_1271.zip

Besides HWiNFO32 you need to have the OSD/Statistics Server running as well. This is included in any of these packages: RivaTuner or EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner. Download one of them (any you prefer) and start the Statistics Server before opening HWiNFO32 Sensors.

In HWiNFO32 go to Sensors/Configure and set your preferred values to be included in the RivaTuner OSD - for each value needed to be shown in OSD click "Show" in the RivaTuner OSD section.

    Note:
The current version of OSD Server (RTSS) has a bug which might cause additiona 3rd party values to be rendered at the same position on screen. There's currently a fix available for this from the author of RTSS (Unwinder), so you need to download the v4.2.1 beta 5 of RTSS here:
    www.hwinfo.com/beta/RTSS421b5.rar
A full fixed release will be available in EVGA Precision v2.0.4 and MSI Afterburner v2.1.0 beta 4.

    Submit feedback ;)

Many thanks to Alex (aka Unwinder) for making this possible !

    Please submit a debug file.
(Under configuration enable Debug mode, restart the application, open sensors, let it run for a bit, close the application and post the dbg file that is created in HWINFO directory here)

    Thank you!

While HWiNFO is a really nice app, but the gadget interface is less desirable.
I currently use All CPU Meter to view my CPU temp.

Maybe when there's time someone could update the HWiNFO gadget so it looks little more polished.
Would also be nice if the gadget its self had an options that tied into sensor display config.

When looking at your gpu temps....are "GPU Thermal Diode" and "GPU TS1 (MemIO)" very important? Because the temps for these two are constantly 5-10 degrees higher than the DispIO and Shader temperatures. sometimes they hover around 90 degrees.
