With KB941649 installed I don't get faster boot times. They are the same as before, which is plenty fast already anyway.

However, what I have noticed is that load times for applications have improved. They were already fast before (especially with superfetch) but now quite a few applications seem to load noticeably faster. Photoshop CS3 for example is about 1-2 seconds faster and so is Acrobat 8 Professional. Needless to say, I am happy so far.

So..I noticed that after resuming from sleep takes a lot longer for the screen to show up...however, when it does show up..the FP reader is installed and ready to be swiped. Before the updates, my screen would turn on almost instantaneously, and then it basically stood there frozen for 5 secs till the FP reader is detected and I am allowed to swipe...

Conclusion: the time it takes for the FP reader to get connected is the same, however, the screen turns on at the same time now...anyone else notice this?
