    According to Alky Project ,

    * These libraries allow the use of DirectX 10 Games on platforms other than Windows Vista
    * Increase hardware compatibility even on Vista, by compiling Geometry Shaders down to native machine code for execution where hardware isn’t capable of running it.

    So in other words, this DX10 pack will enable DX10 features (at least shaders) on non-DX10 hardware by running them on the CPU. If you have a blazing fast CPU, that might not suck.

    Well, theoretically. It's a tidbit vague in my perspective, then again I'm tech savvy to a POINT, lol.

    You won't get dynamic shadows/daylight, the God Rays (like on the pics he posted)...
