I heard it would have a new touch interface as well, or was that for Firefox mobile? :p But seriously, it's only bug fixes and optimization. RC3 fixes a big bug on Mac and the final will see some bug fixes and optimization as well.

The video explains it better than screenshots, and the web demo is even better. Why not use those?

I was just about to post this. I'm hoping for even more speed and definitely some more stability with FF3.

So, the question was asked earllier: do you have to delete "beta 3" before downloading FF3 or is it an update?

    No, just click update.

It will be nice, I've been using RC2 for just a little while now since a few of my must have extensions have become FF3 compatible. It's a big improvement over FF2.

This is exciting. A big release like this is a great time to show any friends or family who are still floating on the IE boat to the greatness of Firefox. The download day will definitely get some major media attention and hopefully show that firefox can replace IE. Even better maybe it will spark some competition in IE to make a comeback.

I just hope there will be more (any) Strata based themes for Firefox 3. That default one looks somewhat plain in Windows XP and I refuse to give up the neat page back/forward buttons that came with FF3. :)

That's what I meant when I specified "...in Windows XP" in my last post. Firefox 3 default theme looks gorgeous in Vista, I was a bit disappointed when I switched back to XP.

This theme is just a blunt copy from IE7. Mozilla developers spent 34 months to copy IE 7's theme.

Um, I think that's made by a devoted user, not developers. And the buttons (back/forward) are different :D.

EDIT: Also, here's the only Strata based theme for FF3 I've managed to find:

Glasser? It's an addon made by a 3rd party not Mozilla, if you're talking about Firefox's default theme then you're wrong. It's way different, and better than IE's "theme".
