Thanks for the Glasser add-on. I've been looking for something like that forever. Now does anyone have a Glass-enabling add-on for AIM or iTunes?

Same here. I don't even remember who put me on to FireFox, but I'm glad that I was made aware of it. I like it more than any other browser I've used.

I didn't have any problem installing it in RC1 actually, but now that I am using RC2, when I tried to update 1.0 to 1.0.3, it shows an error, then I uninstalled it, restart FF, install 1.0.3, it shows an error, but now it is actually working. Weird. RC2 and RC3 for Windows are basically the same thing though, RC3 only includes an update for Mac.

Nope, none of that stuff is in other programs. If you're using Aim i suggest you start using Pidgin instead though. Songbird is an alternative to iTunes.

I love the blue ice theme for FF, looks great. Now why would you want to make FF look like IE7?

I agree, Blue Ice looks good but they're taking quite a while to come out with the theme for Firefox 3. But in any case, it's not about making it look like IE, it's about making it look more transparent. If you think it really looks like IE, then think of it this way. Why would people want Linux to look like Vista? Because they want to, as simple as that. Apply that to making Firefox looking like IE.

In any case, I like the default FF theme and I am more concerned about its performance and features and availability of extensions than themes, but hey, themes are nice too!

That's the great thing about free and open source software, it meets your needs because someone else wanted the same thing you wanted and made it, if it's not available it'll either be soon or you can make it yourself. ;)

After trying to install a few other add-ons, I think I need help to fix this. I can't install any add-on, at all.

EDIT: I also can't uninstall add-ons. I tried uninstalling one of my add-on, then I restarted Firefox, it still there. And I can't update my add-ons too, FlashGot keeps v1.0, and everytime I want to install the newer version, it failed.

EDIT2: I finally able to update FlashGot, I update two add-ons at the same time, one failed, FlashGot is updated, but everytime I restarted Firefox, it keeps saying "Restart Firefox to complete your changes." and "This add-on will be installed when Firefox is restarted." and FlashGot still cannot be used. Is this a hidden bug within Firefox or something?

EDIT3: After a few more restart Firefox, FlashGot shows as installed, but when I right click it still doesn't show anything. The add-on window hangs when I click options, and the add-on doesn't show any icon. I have to kill Firefox process from Task Manager as there is no other way to close the add-on window.

. try turning off any security softwares whilst installing the addon
. or try closing Firefox, go to your profile folder and delete extensions.cache, extensions.ini and extensions.rdf, sometimes these can be corrupted. Fifrefox will rebuild theses at next start

    cheers ...

Thanks. I've deleted those files, but after the next Firefox start, it makes half of my installed add-ons as "Not compatible with FF 3.0" which is impossible, because I've used and installed it on FF3.

EDIT: I've redo the deletion of those three files, and start FF again, I've lost all my add-ons. I should've save a list of add-ons I am using next time... Which also means I've lost my download list in DTM. :(

    let us try this:
. back up (copy) ur chrome & extensions folders, under ur current firefox profile directory (profile\default\xyz\..) , to somewhere else
. clean uninstall of ur FFRC3 and resinstall it
. before restarting, copy the chrome and extension folders back
. we hope to see that FF can access the folders and rebuild the database

    cheers ...

I uninstall FFRC3, checked the option to delete everything. I backup, but I don't use the backup. I've installed a few add-ons from scratch. Somehow the error is back after the third add-on.
This is what I've installed, based on my installation order:
    1. AdBlock Plus
    2. BugMeNot
    3. Glasser
and the error comes back when I install Video DownloadHelper. I restart FF and it seems to be installed, tried to use it, working... I hope it won't happens again. Weird.

Since I got vista I've been using IE7 instead of firefox. I like it much better than previous IE's and might stick with it this time. Truth is though, I like it because its been taking ideas from firefox and implemented it roughly in the same way.

I'm getting tire of IE, I had to trick it in order to make it play videos, but it always gives me an error and open like 2 or 3 windows at the time, all this just to be able to play video news, so I'm trying FF, if I get used to it, then I will scrap IE.

The KDE4 + Firefox3 theme is an alternative to the Linux Tango theme so i'm not sure how it would work in Windows. If you use Linux you should be fine though.

I think Mozilla goes by US time.

Attached is a screen shot of the KDE theme, i have my own account at Mozilla so i just logged in to check on the experimental addon. It crashed Firefox when i was trying to upload the attachment the first time so it's a little unstable, I'm also a firm KDE hater so i uninstalled it pretty fast.

what time exactly is it going to be released? Cause 12:01 is June 17th, 2008, and since they said the world record is in a 24hr time span then im guessing it will be released at 12:00:01 :)
