Not for me unfortunately. I'll grab it before I go to work though. Then I'll download it on my work computer too!![]()

Cool. I'm sure that by the time you get to work, many will have posted their experiences, including me.

A couple more hours, but I'll grab it in the morning!
-
Luckily I'll be up all night, unfortunately... I'll be at work
can't wait to grba it when I get home at 8:30am though!
-
I think I just got FF3!!!!!!
Attached Files:
-
-
That may or may not be RC3, since it shows the same version number when you click "About Mozilla Firefox."
-
But I think before it said RC3
Can anyone confirm? -
it just said version 3. final version wont be out until later tonight. you have RC3 just like the rest of us.
see mine for confirmation. http://i32.tinypic.com/14mxdgj.jpg -
Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's right....
-
Even RC2 says that. If you want your download to count, you have to download the standalone installer. The upgrade through FF doesn't count.

It would be unusual to have the GA released version be different than the last RC. I believe that RC2 and RC3 are identical (except on Mac) and that RC3 will be identical to the released version (except in the Help/About).
-
i didnt know that. are you sure? any link?
-
That's just how it works for their record goal. I mean you can use the built in updater and just download the installer if you want to contribute.
-
It has been June 17’th Tuesday for over 12 hrs here in Japan. Still no sign of Firefox 3…
I guess by Tuesday they mean Tuesday in US
.... hmmm... how many hours do I have to wait ?
-
They want to release everything at the same time, so everything is consistent.
-
considering mozilla is a US based organization, it would make sense that they go by US time. lol. it will be the 17th in california in 3 and a half hours. that should be its time of release.

Here is a link: http://www.spreadfirefox.com/en-US/worldrecord/faq

I know... just wanted to make a funny[Sarcastic] comment
-
that kind of sucks. you know a ton of people are just going to update.
-
Anyone know if there will end up being any significant differences b/t RC3 and the final release? Or is that still under the radar? I mean, I know that Mozilla isn't going to do anything drastic by this point, but a few changes here and there would be nice...
-
i think it is exactly the same.
i guess that's why i don't really get the excitement of staying up all night to download the final version. we already have the final version on our computers in the form of RC3. -
so the 17th PST or EST?
EDIT: nvm it's tue. 1:00pm in EST -
It is already 12:54 AM 17 June here. I wish there is a timer for Firefox release time. Like countdown, or just a big clock on the Mozilla time indicating the time they'll use.
-
PST most likely since mozilla is based in cali.
-
Yah, I've been searching all over the web for something like that myself....
I mean, why not? -
I know I'm not the only one excited.

One minute and counting
-
Ah well, I guess I saw that coming. At least Mozilla has plans for Firefox 3.1, and I already know that there a few things about it that'll be different from ff3.... though not all of which I'm very fond of, I'm afraid to say...

Correction 1 hour and counting - can't wait!
-
Don't you mean 3 hours and counting?? It's coming out 12:00AM PST, is it not?
-
umm, 3 hours. PST time guys.
-
It's 12:02a EST and it still says Firefox 2 on the website.
-
It might be easy to develop a simple Javascript to check Mozilla servers to see what the latest version of Firefox is and report back if it's available or not, that would be kind of like what you guys are looking for but not really complete and it might kill Mozilla servers with so many requests.
-
Man, I want to go to bed, ask them to post it
-
IT WILL BE RELEASED 12 AM PST. 3 HOURS FROM NOW.Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015

When Mozilla said 17 June 2008, they should be really clear about which time they'll use.
Then it means it'll be 3 PM here when they'll release FF3. I'll be using the updater and just download the exe.
-
OMG 12:15am i stayed up soo late and i have to go to work later im soo gonna sleep in the office, guess i will have to do that when i get up LATERZ,,,,,,,,,,
