That and IEEE has more important things to do than update that page every time Microsoft adds or changes something in MSDNAA.

Just like the first post says, click the link in the first post to go to the MSDNAA page and see the list of all the software available under the program.

Could anybody answer my question? I would like to clean install before school starts next week so if it's going to take 8 days by paying $32, I would not sign-up.

Yes, it takes about a week to receive the MSDNAA login access email if you sign up with IEEE as a new member.

Thank you for the info. I guess I would just stick with Vista Ultimate or Win7 RC. I got an e-mail from Windows Feedback Program that if I have RC installed with Feedback Program for 4 months, I would get a free copy of Win7 Ultimate. I e-mailed MS to verify for sure but they haven't gotten back to me for days so I'm not sure which is the best route to go..

Do you think it's worth it to install Win7 RC for 4 months and get a free copy or pay $32? I don't think I would download other s/w from IEEE besides Win7 anyway.. Is RC stable enough to use it until end of this year?

    ----

To encourage your continued participation in the Windows Feedback Program using Windows 7 RC, we will send you a copy of the commercially released version of Windows 7 Ultimate as a gift* within 3 months of its general availability in the US provided that:

    1. You are a US resident of age 18 or older;
    2. You signed up for the Windows Feedback Program through the Windows 7 beta Community Preview Program; and
    3. You have sent data using the Windows Feedback Program automated instrumentation software from Windows 7 RC for at least 4 months.

It is about time IEEE sent out the access to MSDNAA that took way too long IMO.

Guessing it took longer for others? I signed up on Monday (after the special expired) and received my credentials this afternoon.

Perhaps they say "up to eight days" because they only process them in one batch per week?

the IEEE => MSDNAA access gives you 1 key for x64 english Pro Win 7, 1 for x84 english Pro Win 7, 1 for x64 French Pro Win 7... each key can be activated on ANY Win 7 Pro version... i'm using the French Pro key on a x64 english Win 7 Pro ISO.

x64 code will work for the x86 version and vice versa. so your x86 code should work for x64 as well :)

i'm using two x64 versions with one running from an x86 product key.

Were you already a member or did you just joined? If you just joined, it may take up to 8 days to get your mail. If you already a member try this:

    Taken from http://www.ieee.org/web/membership/students/branchresources/microsoftofferstudents.html

Does this mean that after a year, the Windows 7 License will not work, or does it just mean I will not be able to access the download site?

Thank you, that's pretty much what I assumed but I wanted to be more sure. $32 ($15 deal is over) for the membership is not much at all compared to buying it from the store or worth the headache of 'other means'.

this thread hasn't been updated in awhile, but it should be.

a few weeks ago, MS added a total of 10 Windows 7 keys to the MSDNAA software list for IEEE (5x 64-bit, 5x 32-bit). then ALL Win 7 keys were removed. supposedly they were removed only temporarially...but that was weeks ago and have yet to return.

I was wise enough to copy down all of my Win 7 keys as a "just in case" precaution...but many people who signed up a bit later are stuck waiting for the software to re-appear. they'll still be getting a good deal if they come back...but it sure is taking the fun away for now. not knowing.

I wonder if MS will invalidate the keys that were already given out to the MSDNAA members, I like doing reinstalls every year or so, and I don't want to try explaining that to someone over the phone.

Canty seem to download w7 64 off msdnaa unfortunately, just gives me the same old useless error, need a way to bypass the connection so it recognises some placed files inside of the download output.

Then prehaps i can get it to skip the whole DL stage.

I'm not sure if it will be relisted at all since many people who aren't students are abusing this method. I am a student and was able to use this method. Luckily I have the iso images still downloaded. At this point, I feel like you're just out of luck.

it wont be relisted anymore. Too many people too advantange of the program. if you have access to your msdnaa thur your school, they will still have it that way. my community college had it even thought it took me about a week and a half, but i did.

At my school, it's kinda the opposite, while MIS (Management Information Systems) and Comp Sci. students, get the goodies, oddly Information Technology in Business and/or Education (ITBE) students dont get access to MSDNAA. The only reason I have access now is due to me taking a Business Stats class. (an MIS course) I'm just hoping my school will get it in the MSDNAA store soon enough before this semester's over.
