    I need a bit of help :/

I use VistaGlazz to patch, get a theme, move it to the right directory, double click, and I get a list of the basic pre installed themes, however no new one :(

    Can anyone help?

What's the theme that you're trying to use? Your OS?

Has anyone had any problems using Vista Glazz 1.1? Is it stable or even out of Beta yet?

Along with THAANSA3's question, has anyone experimented using it with Windows 7 Beta (build 6801)? :D

so now Vista SP2 has rolled out and my themes are not working like they did before. After I installed SP2 the themes I installed don't seem to work anymore. Any idea why?

You need to repatch the files using the SP2 files

you're right but the files need to be repatched with the updated SP2 version of the patches.

you can download updated Uxtheme patches here: http://www.withinwindows.com/uxtheme-patches/

Having a problem here. I wandered about the many eeks and quirks of Vista Glazz and opted to bow out from aquiring it, for now, until I found some good things about it. {also made it a point to save copies of original uxtheme dll files and loaded them to removable external drive in case of mistake} As for installing the patches, I had a problem with 'Takeown', but with some wangling through the net got that solved. I did download the 3 uxtheme patches for Vista AMD64, but do NOT have an AMD [doesn't this make a difference?] Unfortunately, I updated to Service Pack 2 for Vista Ultimate 64bit version. So the patches did not work and since I kept copies of the old ones I simply replaced them and removed the new ones. Now, while granted, in Vista Ultimate, Vista's style interface is gloriously fantastic and very glassy, I am a bit of an artist and would like to implore my own created theme styles. Problem is, I can't even load Vista Styles from the net how will I get mine on Vista? So, do you have a solution to my uxtheme patch delima?

By AMD64, do you mean you have an AMD processor? That shouldn't make a difference, since it's the OS that matters, not the processor for doing these changes.

I'm a little confused as to what you did, but since you already backed up your theme files, I suggest downloading VistaGlazz ( link) since it works with Vista SP2 and using that the patch your files. After that, you should be able to download new themes and use them.

    And welcome to NBR :)
