This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Just installed and it works great, surprisingly it only took about 25-30 minutes to install, maybe I had most of the fixes already?

    Is it normal that my harddrive is doing stuff even though it says that it's downloading the update? Then again, I wonder if some scan of some sort has automatically triggered at 2am...I know I have defender and defrager off.

    I guess that's what it was. All seems well now. Though the vista performance index and 3dmark06 scores have not changed, the hard drive seems a little faster. Shut down is definitley faster. Start up would be faster if there weren't now a black screen during which time it does nothing - it's like Microsoft is laughing at me saying "Just to show you, we can make your boot time faster, BUT WE WON'T, PWND NOOOOOOOOB!!!!1111!!!!"
