No crashes except when I push the graphics to the limits by overclocking. I got a few BSODs. Never during the normal work or gaming.
So I voted no crashes.
Cheers,
Ivan

I usually get none. BUT There's something wrong with my sound devices. Every time I change Sound settings and click "OK", I get message that rundll32.exe have stopped working and needs to be closed.

Thanks for remembering the Linux people, although this poll isn't related to them at all!

Great thread. Since XP is good enough for my current uses, I'm going to wait a bit more for driver updates or issues..sort of like buying the game 6 months later and getting most of the updates
You guys rock. -

I voted 2 right now. But I am still installing things and getting it to run the way I want, so it might be a little biased.

I can't believe that Windows Live Messenger crashes after installing and trying to configure/login. Downloaded directly from Microsoft messenger site. Anyone know a fix to this?
I've had other issues with Limewire Pro, being that it changes back to Vista Basic theme, still works however.
The preloaded ATI driver control panel sometimes shuts down and gives me an error. Doesn't affect the display though.. strange..
This is all from just one week with the thing. I can't wait to get my Inspiron 6400 to face a number of issues with that system, since Vista is soo new, apps/drivers support sucks for it now. I may backup Vista image, and load XP, then re-image back with Vista once more support is available for it.
My 0.02 cents. -
I bought my Acer Aspire desktop a month ago with Vista Home Premium on it. First week all went good. Then the first glitches occured. Windows IE7 stopped running, Windows Media Player stopped running. Office 2007 not responding either or whenever it felt like responding it took minutes to open Word or Outlook. Not mentioning the "freeze" . Vista freezes, just like that, out of the blue while only using firefox. Slow boot ups and shutdowns, not to mention compatibility issues. I`m not saying that Vista is altogether worthless but i think i`m going to wait until SP1 is out. Until then... i unplugged my Vista desktop and put it in the closet.
I`m glad i haven`t sold my laptop with XP on it. It works just great for me .. it`s fast and reliable. -
Hi,
I have had my Vista laptop for just over 5 weeks now and the crashes have been getting more regular - at least once a day now.
Do you think I should be able to ask for a refund based on Vista being unstable? HP have told me that installing XP would invalidate my warranty...
Thanks for any tips,
Chris -
Spend some time to review your Reliability and Performance monitor built-in Vista. Perhaps your problem is with a device or programs and not Vista.
Reliability Monitor provides a system stability overview and trend analysis with detailed information about individual events that may affect the system's overall stability, such as software installations, operating system updates, and hardware failures. It begins collecting data at the time of system installation.

No errors/crashes here. I love and hate Vista. Make no mistake; it's the most stable Microcrap OS I have used. I hate it because it is slow during start-up and shut-down and those annoying security questions.
-
The only time I've come remotely close to having a crash was when it randomly turned off for no reason... I then realised I'd unlatched the battery.
-
ZERO--best OS I have seen--used to date! I love Vista.
-
I don't use Vista, I just don't trust spending money on it until SP1 comes out... So XP SP2 is the way I run my machine.

Who said SP1 is coming out

How many Windows Vista errors/crashes you get per day?
