the issue being to get a direct bootable disk from them, rather than make one yourself with the extracting/getting error/checking hashes/installing ocsm.../making the boot disk.
-
can't confirm, here is what I have:
64 bit: MD5: 950a9ba71f468d5167a8e0b2534bf572
32 bit: MD5: d8cb496db6514df849b7240b1c2c6315
Both ISOs were created as per the instructions in the OP INCLUDING removing the ei.cfg file.
The two images both boot up and install fine in VirtualBox and VMware including installing the VM-specific device drivers/extensions.
I'm not going to be able to test the two images on 'real' hardware (using DVD media, not virtualized ISOs) until Tuesday afternoon. -
The moment you altered the contents of the ISO, you changed the hash. So can anyone confirm the hash of the ISOs without alterations?
-
I believe that the ISOs with the removed ei.cfg is what most people are interested in....

Are the links same for WIndows 7 Ultimate 64 bit? I needed a 64 bit version as I got a 32 bit.
-

ill try remaking the isos and will post tomorrow -
yes they are, make sure you follow the iso making guide in the OP to allow all versions

Ok! Thanks
-
Thanks. Windows 7 Ultimate x64 is running beautifully, and I'm just waiting for a code from my school!
-
depositfiles deleted the file
-
methinks that jess is looking to be banned.......
this is not a warez, keygen, or cracks site. -
You have to get a key licensed to you, jess. That means buying it or getting some special deal like I will through my school.
I don't see how so many people are having so many problems.. -
thanks....
-
Can you update the first post there is a better way to remove ei.cfg
Here is the tool to remove ei.cfg much easier. -
thanks for the heads up
I reupped the file to a new site and updated the OP -
ill look into it and update the instructions once I test it
-
Hi,
I ve a japanese vista , i upgrade with french microsoft store licensed upgrade key, can theses install the right japanese w7 automatically??
i really want to keep my japanese OS> -
Awesome stuff! But the link to ocsdimg.exe @ depositfiles looks dead
[edit] Nevermind. The new link works. Thanks! -
so i can download and install windows 7 home premium and then when my sony upgrade copy arrives i can just input the CD Key without reinstalling?
How would i do that?
Thanks -
Yes you can.
Just install home premium, but do not enter a key
You will be able to use it for 30 days (120 with the rearm command) without a key, after which it will ask you to input the key -
I just tested both images on an IBM w500 and a pair of HP G70s. Both DVDs load up just fine from bootup through installation through validation & activation. I tested the installation of Win7 Home Premium and Win7 Ultimate, 32 and 64 bit.
This is in addition to the successful ISO/VM tests from the weekend. -
According to some media sources, MS released ISO's, will the first post be updated to have those downloads?
-
i saw the news but i think the iso will be locked to windows 7 professional so it will basically involve the same steps anyway
-
Oh yeah thats true. Forgot that this unlocks all the versions. Thanks again! Good to know I have a backup copy of my purchase.
-
Thank you.
-
The 90-day trial of Windows 7 Enterprise is also the same code? It should be identical to Windows 7 Ultimate.
To ALL: Every version/download, etc. comes in both 32-bit (aka x86), and 64-bit (aka x64). When you download drivers, they always must be for the type of OS that you chose (32-bit or 64-bit).
[OT]@Thibault: Love your sig., dude!

I looked at the ei.cfg remover and I don't think it will really help in this case since we have to make the isos anyway, so it would look something like this:
Download
Make ISO
Use ei.cfg remover
or
Download
Delete ei.cfg from folder
Make ISO
So it is essentially the same, so I will leave the guide as it is -

Hey there,
I just used your instructions and made a Win7 Iso. When I tried it in Alcohol 120 and boot, the file opened was sper32.exe. Isn't the setup.exe supposed to be open? Also, when I open sper32.exe, it gives me an error message attached below. -
The post was helpful Thanks.
But this was tacky. -
Are you using Windows 7 RC and doing an upgrade install?
If you are you need to follow this guide and it should work:

Nops, I wanted to uprade from Vista Ultimate to 7 Ultimate!
-
MODS can this be a sticky please!!!!????
-
in that case you can just run setup.exe from the expandedSetup folder after deleting ei.cfg --> there is no need to make the iso
-
Reporting, I tried to make a bootable HDD and put this Windows 7 Installer into it.
It works flawlessly. After that, I removed the ei.cfg manually. Then, again. It works!
Actually, I think the method is pretty simple.
Just download the version(3 files) you want.
Unblock them. Run the .exe file to extract the content of the box1 and box2 into a folder.
After that, delete the 3 files, there're useless already.
Find the ei.cfg in the folder that created during the extraction and delete it.
Do a image disc or make a bootable USB flashdrive/external HDD and put the files which extracted to the folder into the disc or USB storages. Set BIOS and voila! -
You can also use this tool after completing the steps in the iso guide:

i would also like this to be stickied...i had to read how to merge these files together..thanks..

If I burn it to dvd with same error message, will it be a problem to boot and install? -
Is this a multilanguage version or English only?
-
How can I get the 32bit version? Is that the x86 version? I basically have a x64 bit Enterprise Edition key and trying to get the 32bit version of the software.
-
If I upgrade to 32bit windows with an upgrade disc, can I later use the method described in this thread to go to 64bit if I wanted? Or would it not work after windows 7 is already installed?
-
x86 is 32 bit
-
I don't think you can upgrade from 32 to bit to 64 if the 32 bit is already windows 7
-
So I couldn't even use the files in this thread for a clean install down the road? If I upgrade to Windows 7, those files are forever useless?
-
These discs will do a clean install if you upgrade, but not another upgrade if you upgrade
-
Can someone help me, I've been searching on line and can't find an answer.
My computer came with Vista 32 bit even though it is 64 bit capable and also has 4 gigs of ram. However, the OEM upgrade I ordered from windows7upgradeoption.com only gave me the option of ordering the windows 7 32bit home premium upgrade disk. When I received the disk, it only came with the 32 bit of windows 7.
Can I download the 64 bit Home premium installation file here and activate with the key I got from my upgrade option? -

Waiting for reply!! -
But the method for using the discs as described in the OP will still work even on a system already running Windows 7? That's my question. I understand it will be a clean install, I just want to be sure that I can use the 64x files and follow the instructions in the OP if I ever choose to go from 32 to 64bit.
-
On the 64 bit version the expanded setup folder was 3.01 GB but the ISO was 3.02 GB...is this correct? also, when creating the ISO, the cmd prompt said there was one more directory then what post 43 said there should be...that correct also? thanks
-
Yep, you can follow the guide in the OP to go from 32 to 64 with a clean install, it will work on a system that is already win 7
-
As long as you followed the guide exactly, you should be fine
