Socks only go "so far" -> i.e. yes, the help, but if I am in a situation where my feet get cold sitting at a desk then thicker socks would not help because the blood flow isn't there.

Hands - well, maybe you can, but I have an issue with anything in the way of my writing/hands when writing. Long sleeves need to be "non baggy", ideally shirt sleeves which have strengthened cuffs, on that note, shirts with cuff links are bad for writing -> the cuff links get on my nerves.

Pencil -> Pencils don't make themselves ;) the graphite needs to come from somewhere, and a high quality eraser is made from Polysomething which tends to be oil based.
You also need to consider fitting the lead into a wooden shaft, then you have loss through sharpening, pencils won't be that energy efficient. I'm sure it can be worked out and it will depend a lot on the number of images shot -> i.e. you will need to go into the thousands, but shoot thousands of images or draw thousands - at a decent size, those drawings will consume quite a lot of energy.

Emailing - I don't, images are too big to email. -> Take to friends, well, that would include printing, and sadly my best friend and another very good friend are both about 500km away in another country -> i.e. I can't just go and show a drawing.

Have a small heater next to you, use much less enery than heating the whole house. In the poor countries like China(before the 80s), they use a warm water bag and cover with blanket to keep warm. Or you are some medical cases that is so special ?

No one is saying pencil and paper doesn't consume energy to make, but do they use more than camera and computer ? My best friend is like 2000Km away from me and he send me his drawing/photo via mail(to keep). Or just borrow a digital camera from the neighbour/schoolmates when needed if it is casual sharing. this would save the resource of making another DC.

-> It's already a small room I'm in that's being heated -> downstairs the radiators are off.
And you aren't considering something ;) -> you are making life impractical.
Of course you can live your life in bed -> even warmer, but you can't do anything.

And there is one other aspect with regard to drawing vs. photograph -> they are two very different techniques requiring different skills.
You can be brilliant at drawing and rubbish at photography or vice versa, so you'd really need to lobby for a small camera rather than a pencil.

On another note, it's very interesting that you never considered the obvious choice.
As close as possible to 100% renewable energies (and that also means no toxic waste), we're not even trying good enough yet.

yeah, it takes longer than usual to load, so I tried xpud, and it takes just 12 seconds from bootloader! I think i'm gonna be hard pressed to find one faster than xpud, so thanks for the suggestions texanman and the flame war that started!
