    @Phoenix there are a lot of stress testing options out there it looks like. You said Prime95 was potentially dangerous. AIDA64 is paid, and I am not sure I am going to keep using it often enough to justify buying it. What about Cinebench? There is also a test built into ThrottleStop I think, what about that one?

    Similarly, what is the best/simplest GPU stress test program? I used Uningine Valley once, but not sure if that is what I want to use. This is really just to check that GPU temperatures do not go through the roof when under load.

    One more thing (this is getting a bit beyond software recommendations, sorry) is overclocking the 1070 with nVidia Inspector or something similar worthwhile? I have a feeling that at least at the moment it is unnecessary as it handles pretty much any game with no issues. And overclocking would create more heat and noise, right? Which is what I am trying to avoid.

    Finally, any thoughts on SpeedFan? I think the fans are more or less fine without Clevo CC, but if there was a way to tweak them to tolerate slightly higher temperatures before starting up I think I'd probably do that.

    Wprime Stress test, Cinebench R11.5 and R15 in OP are great test software. But none of these can test over a longer period such as Aida. You can use Prime95 v26.6 if you want longer stress test. Version 26.6 does not include AWX Code and the processor will run colder than with the newer versions of P95. Ungine Heaven and Valley are great as well. Same with Futuremark 3DM Suite and 3DM11. Those can be used in loop if you have the payd versions :cool:

    But other than the Power State info, it doesn't show anything we already didn't have in Nv inspector or GPUz.
