I deleted dock64.exe from the OD folder to stop it from launching. Its useless AFAIK.

OD has never crashed for me either.

Also heres an awesome firefox hi-res icon:

to get the full effect of objectdock you need to get stardock, it's good but you need to pay for it.

rocketdock is free and awesome. so why mess with that?

and rocketdock has some great free icons too.

I have now uninstalled both Rocket & Objectdock...I find its faster to just use instant search or my shortcuts in sidebar to open up programs.

However, I may switch over to using a dock when Bart is done with Circle Dock: LINK

I'm currently using ObjectDock and loving it. I don't find it to be using too many resources either (on higher settings).

I believe that is based on the Icons you download yourself.

You can use the stacks docklet for OD as well, but OD has something called a fan docklet that scrolls through the files in the folder.

Can I add my 2 cents or as I am in UK my 2 pence.

I have owned a Mac, But returned it as I only like downloading and watching movies, So it was a bit of a waste.

But one thing I love was the Doc, I never knew you could get it for PC until today, Yes I am not up on these things.

But I got that object doc today for the first time and I got to say WOW, love it, I have played around with it, you can add stuff to it, change Icons, what more do i want.

Someone said something about launchy, any one had a go at that?

I've tried the Stacks Dockets on both ObjectDock and RocketDock, and both have Grid and Fan options, but I have not seen anything that scrolls. Also interested in a link. :)

Eh Canada, from CA in The UK eh? =)

    RE:Launchy, it's a text-based launcher/indexer. If you have Vista, I recommend using the Start-Search and installing Start++:

Anyone have problems with the weather docklet in RocketDock?

It has never worked for me. (and no, using objectdock is not an option, I run both, ObjectDock is my dedicated thumbnail toolbar)

I don't think objectdock has any options to check for updates. I'm guessing it's sending something to the headquarter.

I'm currently using Rocketdock with stacks docklet. It hasn't given me any problems. I may remove it soon, though, because it doesn't really have a function for me. I open up nearly all my programs from the start menu search.
