Anybody know the name of this painting?
http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/6/28/1980594/desktop.jpg
This one came with Windows. It doesn't quite fit my screen and I want to find one that does. -
Save the website photo to your Pictures folder by right clicking on the photo and selecting: Save picture as.
Then, go into your Pictures folder, and open the photo with Microsoft Office Picture Manager (that comes standard with Vista). Go to Pictures, then Resize, and then, in the photo editing pane at the right of your screen, select: "Pre-defined width x height." Select: document large, and OK. Picture will now automatically be resized and shaped to fit your screen as a Desktop Background and/or Screensaver.
Then to make it into either one, go into your Personalize/Desktop Background or Screensaver menu, and select that photo. Voila!
(PS, if you want to edit the photo first, by cropping it, or any other editing, you can do that first and then resize it. For example, if the photo on line is rather small, I like to first increase the size (using the Resize - "Percentage of original width x height" function) before I edit and reshape it to fit my Desktop. Microsoft Office Picture Manager is an awesome photo editing app that most people arent really familiar with. -
ATG, here's a PhotoBucket Guide
---Start Copy---
Step 1: Navigate to www.photobucket.com and click either of the 'Join Now' links.
Step 2: Enter the required information into the fields, click 'Next Step', then fill in the rest of the information and lastly click 'I accept, Sign me up!'.
Step 3: You will now want to add some images. So now click 'Chose Files', when the window opens navigate to the correct folder and select the file(s) you want to add. Using the CTRL key to select multiple images, once you have chosen them, click open.
Step 4: You will now need to wait for the images to be uploaded to PhotoBucket, depending on the quantity and or quality of images and your internet speeds, this could take several minutes so be patient.
Step 5: Once the images have uploaded you will have the option to add titles and comments to the images (blue), however you can just skip this if you are in a hurry (red).
Step 6: You will be at your main page now, so lets setup thumbnailing. Firstly, hover over any of the images until an option menu appears, click 'Link Options', a window should appear, tick 'Clickable Thumbnails' and then 'Save'.
Step 7: To get the code for the thumbnail, simply hover over the image you want to thumbnail, highlight the code in the 'IMG Thumb' section and use that in your posts
---End Copy---

Well, this is the Screenshot of my desktop. My notebook looks identical, but on 1280x800 (as it's a 12").
The Files on the Desktop are actual Work-Items, the Wallpaper from HP blackbird 002 (which I don't have) a little bit modified in Paint.NET.
I have bigger preview windows on the taskbar, a little bit more tiny taskbar, and full width taskbar buttons. I prefer this setting over the Win7 settings by much. No use for Quicklaunch, I pin the stuff in the startmenu (as you can see).
Hope you like it.Attached Files:
