Here is what my desktop looks like. All shortcuts are in a dock, and both taskbar and dock are set to auto hide, while vista gadgets are switched off. Although I'm not sure if everyone would share my taste in liking such kind of wallpapers.

Here's my latest:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1835&ppuser=16273
From my desktop which has a 1920x1200 screen.
Boring, though I like to have as much usable space as possible in addition to having a clean and problem-free system. Though I have more than enough power, there's no reason in my mind for anything to be running that doesn't have to. -

I was thinking the Windows 7 theme. haha.
Well it that case, this picture doesn't belong in this thread. -

ok, i tried to upload the photo direct, but because its apparently an hd photo the fourm rejects it as too large, so..............
heres the next best thing, a link directly to it, so you can dl it too.

thanks and +1
object dock is free right?
does it eat up a lot of resources?
-

Rocketdock is free and you can get a free version of objectdock, there is a paid for version which has more features, if you click the link you can compare the two.
Stacksdocklet I would also recommend if you have a load of stuff to put into the dock, it just makes it tidier. You can use stacksdocklet for both rocket and object dock.
Rocketdock for me is using 14mb of memory atm.

am i right in guessing that you can unload them from memory if you want just like exiting vista sidebar? -
Also like all the new icon's they come out with on a daily basis.

The side bar is back! I finally got around to redoing my sidebar after a long 1 year hiatus of being turned off. Definitely enjoying the functionality of it, and Im kinda wondering why I ever got rid of it.
As you can see I need to clean up my icons. But there are just too many Viscual studio projects I'm working on to do so. Plus it pulls triple duty (work, school, fun).Attached Files:

(or best would be a small svn server.. www.visualsvn.com has one for free to install, but of course it should be available for both systems to check out and check in. i use my windows home server for that
).
i know that "one day". took me around 8 years to do that once -
Can't wait to see next weeks
After attempting multiple times to replace the theming files in Windows to no avail (everytime I did it, my computer wouldn't make it past the log on screen, forcing me to use my Windows Vista disk to browse for system restore files) I'm just gonna give up and stick with the default theme. It sucks because I have done this in the past with success.
I think it's the fact that I'm using SP2, but I'm getting the right files...
It's just a different wallpaper created from my Last.FM listening history. Pretty tame compared to all the things you guys have done.
Do any of you guys have ideas to "unbland" my desktop?
Thanks,
Ricky -
I like how you always do that with your listening history @ last.fm
