Yeah, dude. Link us to that system info gadget. I've got all that stuff...on like four separate gadgets. Where'd you get that comprehensive one? That's cool.

Yeah I was a bit suprised when I saw the comprehensive sidebar. Maybe i'm sick of the yahoo gadgets I've been using for quite a long time maybe its time to go retro :)

I hope it can display Hard drive usage as well :p

It will do hard drives too. You can get it at http://thehobbylounge.com/forum/index.php. They have about 35 different gadgets to choose from.

To download gadgets from the site you have to sign up (no big deal, they don't spam you).

It's fully configurable, up to 8 cores, lots of built-in skins, etc. It's called MultiMeter 2.10

Mind linking to a larger version of that? That's a really nice wallpaper.

Mine's the default snow mountains with sky color scheme. It's a nice winter theme so I figured I'd go with it over my default Dutch winter XP one. I'll probably switch once it gets warmer, but that could be awhile.

LOL, Windows Classic FTW! Now that the widgets aren't on the sidebar that looked so ugly when in classic mode, I might use this more often. I just wanted to see what classic looked like, but I like it. :)

You completely loose Aero Peek in this mode—which is one of the better features of the new Taskbar so this classic look is not worth it.

Really? Must've missed it in the thumbnails - guess that's what happens when I don't view them full size. I'll have to try it next time I boot Win7.

You forgot small icons on the taskbar! But that actually does look surprisingly like Win98. Wonder how close you can get the Start menu. I hacked Explorer and shell32.dll in XP so it looked almost exactly like Windows 98 (even said it was), but I dunno how easy that would be in Win7. Not that it's necessarily ideal in XP either, though, if you don't make proper backups .

LOL, you don't need a link to it, just switch to classic view.

Right Click on desktop, personalize, scroll down to "ease of access" then it's the second theme from the left under that heading.

I did that, but you have a different type of blue background to me :(

Care to post a link of YOUR background? It will be awesome. Pointless, yet awesome.

Plus I feel the need to do something like this: http://www.27bslash6.com/overdue.html

So can I have a link to your wallpaper please? :) ;)

It's a color on the Windows color picker for some odd reason, not an image file, so you'll have to create it from your "Custom Colors" list. Here's how:

Right click the desktop and click Personalize. Click the Desktop Background button at the bottom of the screen. When the window changes, click the Picture Location dropdown list and choose "Solid Colors"

Click on the "More..." link next to the color swatch below the list of colors to open the "Color" dialog box.

Enter the Numerical Color Values (Hue, Sat, Lum, Red, Green, Blue) from my Color dialog box into yours:
