Hey, somewhow I changes settings to open my bookmarks in new tab. Before, they opened in same tab. I'm not sure if I did it in settings or in All in one sidebar.
Any1 knows how to change it back? (without changing everything to default or reinstaling FF? -

I am down to these eight, but they all are running in Firefox 3.5 Beta 4!

My most recommended addons:
Firebug lets you edit the script of web pages. It's really cool.
And my favorite, AutoPager. AutoPager automatically loads the next page when you reach the end of the page. It works on lost of sites (including NBR).
And just to clarify, it doesn't reload the page. It adds on to the bottom of the page like this:

Since you guys brain washed me in the browsers poll thread and helped me to get the IE only MSN Games to work properly on FF with teh help of teh IE teh TAB.
Please guide me on all teh good plugins I might need, and any nice themese would be nice as well. I don't like teh default theme that comes with FF. too plain -
I use on my Firefox:
Adblock Plus - This removes most of the unwanted adverts on webpages, and gives the page a 'cleaner' look.
Download Statusbar- This replaces the 'Downloads' window that opens in Firefox, and places a small, yet useful statusbar for your downloads.
DownloadHelper - I use this to download tutorials and such from video sharing sites, such as YouTube.
SkipScreen - Recommended by a user here on NBR, this allows you to download files from popular filesharing sites quicker (RapidShare, MegaUpload, etc).
edit: If you regularly look for images online, or want a new approach to watching online videos, try CoolIris -
NoScript
Tab Mix Plus
Glasser
Yet Another Smooth Scrolling
Searchbar Autosizer
ColorfulTabs
Fission
Compact Menu 2
FireGestures -
thanks -
I have all the add-ons shadows mentioned, and they are all great.
I also have some visual addons like AnyColor, which lets you choose colors for all areas of the browser
Another great addon is Down Them ALL
The only download accelerator for firefox, and trust me it actually does speed up downloads.
It also has other cool features like allowing you to download all the images on a page at once.
Oh and chatZilla, an IRC client for FF -

QuickDrag allows you to grab a link and drag/drop it, it will open a new tab. You can also select text and drag/drop it, and it will do a search using your default search engine.

There's not many themes listed so I'll give two of my favourites. Granted, they may not make Firefox look TOTALLY different, but that's why I like them. It gives the browser a clean look with a host of different colours.
Noia Extreme
avant.garde.10011 :nero: 2.1 (If you type "avant Garde" in the search box and focus the search in the themes category, you'll find a lot more of this theme in different forms) -
2 add-on's that haven't been mentioned yet are:
- forecastfox (top right in screenshot)- very compact/ergonomic weather display. also has a radar to show cloud/storm movements when u roll over the radar button.
- foxytunes (bottom right in screenshot)- great add on for ppl that listen to music while browsing. u don't even have to minimize, and then open yur media player program. it can open and control just about any media player right in yur browser.
foxytunes can be customized to match yur themes and they can both be placed wherever u want, in yur FF browser. -

You can speed up browsing in Firefox quite a bit (depending on your connection) by enabling pipelining.
To see how to do that right, see http://egonitron.com/2007/05/25/the-truth-about-the-firefox-pipelining-trick/. If you change this value, be aware that it might cause problems. Keep in mind that it might be the cause if websites suddenly begin to behave oddly, in that case, try lowering the number of requests done at the same time via Network.http.pipelining.maxrequests -
Threads merged. Plenty of customization in this thread.

The folks over at Mozilla have updated the Add-ons website. There is a new feature they call Collections. What are collections? In the words from the Mozilla site:
Collections are groups of related add-ons assembled for easy sharing.
I created one: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/collection/AKAJohnDoe -
1-ClickWeather - for those who prefer weather.com based data instead of accuweather.com
Adblock Plus - blocks ads and clutter
All-in-One Sidebar - convenience of firefox and addons settings available in a quick access sidebar
Auto Copy - highlighted text auto copies to clipboard
Autohide - makes fullscreen mode much more configurable
Delicious Bookmarks - online bookmark storage for convenience
Download Statusbar - tracks download status conveniently in the statusbar
IE Tab - convenient IE usage for those rare websites that need it
Mouse Gestures Redox - mouse gestures to conveniently perform routine actions (configurable too)
NoScript - disable javascript for security purposes
PDF Download - useful for downloading PDFs
Screengrab - take screenshots for websites (apparently Fireshot is good too but can be annoying once the trial period runs out, so I'll stick with Screengrab)
Speed Dial - the one reason I faulted Firefox over Opera was that it lacked Opera's convenient Speed Dial... not anymore with this addon
Tab History - newly opened tabs from other tabs contain its history
Tab Mix Plus - make tabs more configurable
Update Notifier - for managing addon updates automatically
WebMail Notifier - convenient automatic checking of most of the popular webmail services
Classic Compact theme - increased screen real estate -
DoD config, for work,
Web Of Trust,
Google Preview
DHS alert status
update notifier,
and i LOVE All Glass Firefox 2.0
i use the standard FF theme with all glass 2.0 and it looks fantastic.

W.O.T - Web Of Trust.
Warns you about risky websites that try to scam visitors, deliver malware or send spam. Protect your computer against online threats by using WOT as your front-line layer of protection when browsing or searching in unfamiliar territory. In my personal opinion, Web of Trust (W.O.T) is better than McAfee SiteAdvisor in some cases, its data is solely based on the community's reports, and is enriched and maintained by the people of the community as well, in a Wikipedia-Like style.
It has several, gauge-able categories that can be set to different values depending on your own perceptions of a site that you'd like to review, "Trustworthiness", "Vendor Reliability", "Privacy" and "Child Safety"; the categories feed the data that W.O.T uses to classify websites and their global values and your own perceptions of the website can be changed on-the-fly and udpated both in your local W.O.T database, and into the global W.O.T database. -
Interclue is an amazing productivity tool. It allows you to hover over a link and a small pop up window with the page contents comes into view. What a time saver!

Taboo-better than bookmarks for me
WOT-better than SiteAdvisor for me

I'm bringing this thread back! I found this, it scrobbles songs to Last.fm from Pandora, Slacker, and Napster Web Radio. It is pretty cool.
