Yes, I've tried it this way as well and although it says "successful" it still doesn't work.

I use NTLite to integrate into the build before installing along with adding a few other personal touches (ie: My Comptuer on desktop). Working great no issues at all.

no big changes in 8.2 to make a new iso, no bugs solved or features

also sorry, no 32bit or home64 for now, this is very annoying to make on a laptop, on my regular desktop it would be easy and fast but i dont have access right now

 

Hello, I have a question: the latest iso doesn't include updates for Spectre/Meltdown mitigation, correct? That is something I'm actually trying to avoid. I'll take vulnerability over a performance hit any day.

Its only a minor version bump and you will be wasting your time integrating a mere 100-200MB update.

Hello bro , i wana ask if you can please leave atleast windows store,windows media player and Internet explorer in ur new ISO build ? rest all apps , edge , cortana and all other junk like xbox apps , defender etc remove them windows store is needed if someone wants apps so he can himself download from app store and Internet explorer is needed to download chrome or firefox lol.and also please dont include meltdown and spectre patches in ur build it make PC performance slow anyway.

you can make your own iso, it is easy but annoying

 

I find it kinda funny that you dont want bloatware from Windows, and use the crap that is driver boost to install drivers that you can download in 2 minutes from the manufacturers of your hardware and be sure those are the correct drivers and not some random crap....

 

atleast dont remove windows media player ? its not bloat ...

 

Hey can you post a iso with nothing removed?

 

I tried it on my desktop and it activated but I cannot get it to update correctly, I have tried manually and thru windows updates, it just says its installing to go from 248 to 309 versions and after restart it says failed and wants to download the whole update again!
I am at a loss here..... I have no problems with it otherwise though and I have nothing else on this machine.... Maybe if I tried the ISO without bloatware removed?

My laptop updated fine but it runs regular version of wins home and I removed the bloatware myself. my lappy is at 309 version now.

 

Its a known issue/bug where update isn't shown. Its listed in KB article.
Looks like RS4 has reached RTM checkpoint.

 

@sixor On RS4 remove only unneeded components aka UWP apps. Keep Groove Music,Camera etc.. I think most audio/video codecs will be included within UWP app and removing might break Windows.

 

If you want a bone stock iso, Media Creation Tool can download it.

 

no , it wont break windows but i also asked him to keep atleast windows store app and windows media player.

 

I just installed R4 clean bloated pro lol Ill just clean it up.... This was for my desktop... Im testing for now ... If all goes well I will put it on my Sager NP9876 (Clevo P870KM-G) ... thats my main driver...

sixor , in ur google drive i can see that u already uploaded one new win10 x64 iso on March 12? its 16299.251 version.We all downloaded ur 16299.248 version ISO i even cannot update my windows because it wants to install KB4088776 but fails everytime please make new ISO in such a way that atleast windows update is not corrupted.

no because gen2 has auto activation and i would not be able to post it here or majorgeeks, i use gen2 for myself in order to save time including the stupid update, why microsoft does not release the iso with the latest kb integrated? i will never understand

 

I agree I wish MS did updated builds with the latest KB's included. And strange I've grabbed Gen2 releases that do not auto activate.

 

yes, i would love to use gen2 but his isos have kms and non kms auto activation, it is optional but still i dont think majorgeeks would let me upload it

and yes, annoying the way microsoft release the isos outdated, they dont even have directx 9c included since win7

 

ur ISO is useless because windows update dont work and we cannot re-install windows every time if new KB update is released from Microsoft so i will remove ur ISO and install another bloat free ISO from another user.

 

Yeah I totally understand since who knows if Major Geeks would be okay with Gen2 versions being the source for your builds. Perhaps I'll integrate the latest updates into my own build instead of using the Gen2 iso I just grabbed (along with Net 3.5). Should I worry about DirectX 9c even though I do have DirectX 12 in use on my system?

As sixor stated about it's an issue with MSMG that is causing that issue. If you found another person doing builds that don't have this issue then cool but you don't need to be a prick about it especially to someone who is taking their own personal time sharing their bloat free builds with us.

Dx9c is for old games. But it is annoying not being included. Just like .net 3.5. why microsoft is is so annoying with legacy.

Rain makes good ISOs for Windows. I used his W8.1 ISO for installing on a VM and host PC.
