I used Rufus to make a bootable USB. but why its not detecting in bios? Did I make a mistake somewhere?
-
Did you choose UEFI or MBR compatible option or just UEFI option on GPT partition?James Hans likes this.
-
I choose ' MBR Partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI-CSM ' and ' NTFS ' for file system format
-
I think you've UEFI with Secure Boot enabled. Disable Secure Boot and write the W10 ISO/ESD as UEFI option on GPT partition with NTFS Filesystem.
-
I have make sure to disable Secure Boot before. I will try GPT partition. Hopes its gonna work.
EDIT: still not working for me. It still won't detectLast edited: Jan 2, 2018 -
Thanks for creating this version of Windows, it works very fine.
There is a way to install the Microsoft Store? I need it to install important software of my university.
Greetings from Chile! -
since the iso is so big i believe you have to split it on rufus in order to use gpt, since it need fat32, this is super dumb but some stupid guy though it was a good idea. rufus does that.
i really dont know / dont care. sorry. you can create your own iso, it is easy.
msmg allows to integrate store i believe using a pack.
i live in chile too lol. greetingsJames Hans likes this. -
Thank you. It works now. But I don't remember having to do that format before this. Thank you again for your helps

Right click on the ZIP file then go to properties, then select unblock from the bottom right of the properties page if the file was blocked because you downloaded it from the internet
Next, extract it and then right click on Add-Store.cmd and choose Run as AdminLast edited: Jan 3, 2018Mari1225, sixor, Vasudev and 1 other person like this. -
So I try to install the HOME version but its still have bloatware. so I try using the same iso but installing PRO version and its free from bloatware. I guess there's a mistake?
-
yes, because the iso is very big, msmg is not compressing it sadly, uefi gpt requires a fat32 iso of less than 4gb, so rufus has to split the iso or something like that
-
You can create a small size ISO by deleting the edition that you don't want in msmg by navigating to 8. Tools 1. Winmgr 3. Delete
Personally I only use Home and Pro, so I create a single ISO with just those two and it's just 3gb.Last edited: Jan 3, 2018sixor likes this. -
i was not aware of that, thanks

Reason to upgrade from Home to Pro:
Unless you need more of those filth that they added to Pro and want to spend $100+ for Pro key from the official M$ $tore or official retailer, or $20+ for a Pro key that comes from some sketchy site.Last edited: Jan 4, 2018Vasudev likes this. -
i only need pro because it allows me to disable more windows10 crap through group policy
-
Which crap can you disable through group policy?
-
Does that software really remove the "windows defender" or it just disables it and prevents the launch?

Hi all
So I clean installed 64 home win 10 single language version here. I gotta say it was a smooth process till I went to validate...
I thought I was doomed but it finally worked. Microsoft accepted my key after entering it twice and asked me to upgrade to a new version.. weird I thought... Maybe it is cus it was from my Win 7 .. who knows, But after "upgrade" no money requested, I got it! Now I just need my drivers right so it runs smoother... Ok got all those working too. It took me total about 45 minutes....
This is for a desktop computer that was built by me 4 years ago ..SSD Drive and Asus mother board and AMD FX6300 and AMD r9 200 Series card . It has 16gb ram. Its a decent computer for how old it is.
Of course I made backup right after I installed OS Macrium. Turned all the features crap off. Used Win10 Shutup immediately. And did updates manually. It was not bloatfree but no worries. Though I did notice No cortana showed up .... gotta hate her lol
Boot time to desktop is 45 secs.
All in all it was smooth, Thank you for making this !!! I will let you know if I run into any issues when I load my games
EDIT: Boot to desktop 9.9 secs with some tweaking

i have gamed the crap on these isos and never had issues
i dont understand? it was not bloatware free?
if you install this isos, on the first boot, there should not be any win defender , that is the easy way to know if the iso is okMari1225 likes this. -
First boot with no net connected, I saw xbox, windows store app, and a few other apps like that most people call bloatware. I did not see Cortana however... No Windows Defender... I used CCleaner to uninstall the left over apps... Then after I got all that cleaned off. I manually shut off all the settings in pc settings. Then I ran shutupWin10 and shut off everything. Then I connected to internet. It asked to validate but would not without the upgrade from microsoft, once I upgrade, Windows defender is back on. Strange.... After every update I did manually I had to use ShutupWin10 to shut off things again.
Played one game and no lag and no issues so far
Happy Happy gamer here!!

Can you also make the 8.1 Enterprise no-bloatware edition??? As per me 8.1 is much better in performance.

Works just as it should

Might be stupid question, but my laptop wont detect NTFS in bios and rugus says it has to be ntfs because its more than 5gb
-
Use UEFI mode with secure boot disabled in BIOS settings. When Install.wim's size is greater than 4GB you need NTFS.
One thing you can do is to extract the ISO and export single edition which will reduce the ISO size using NTLite. -
i have uefi and secure boot disabled
-
I hope you used these steps for making usb bootable W10 https://www.thomas-krenn.com/en/wik...-Stick_in_Windows#Create_UEFI_USB_flash_drive
Rufus includes a NTFS driver to allow UEFI boot. -
Nevermind. Worked third time. Maybe crappy usb stick
-
Good. I think you formatted the USB stick and use same setting as before, right? maybe AV was causing a issue?
-
Maybe. Almost empty start, this is like porn to me haha
-
Great work sixor, appreciate your time put into this.
I've been testing the x64 Pro ISO and its working great for the most part. The only issue so far is installing 3.5 NET. Normally installing .NET 3.5 is an issue with Windows 10 but the work around is to use the Windows installation media and cmd
(Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source
:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess)
- Details: https://winaero.com/blog/offline-install-of-net-framework-3-5-in-windows-10-using-dism/
This fix however doesn't seem to work with this ISO. I've used it before on other builds and had no issues getting .Net installed. -
Have you tried this?
