No Win 7 because of higher power consumption (around 1 Watt), thus shorter battery life, hotter PC and louder fan, and serious problems with software like Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam PDF Revu in combination with a pen.
Maybe it's fixed in the final, then I'll upgrade, probably -
2) All software that are compatible with XP and Vista work perfectly on 7, particularly , ADOBE software...I wonder how you got a problem
PS: Hope you tried the RTM (Final) edition and you're not talking about the BETA. But even the BETA ran perfectly in my case -
I thought you had only run Win7 for two weeks and then went back to XP because you 'didn't like it'.
Or is there another MaXimus out there that posts here with your UID? -
Vista right now, Win7 in october.
-
-
Vista FTW!!!!!!!!
-
r u joking, or are u trying to make yourself feel better since u r having the worst OS in time ? -

go figure

LOL @ cool guy, I just saw in your SIG that you are using the RC version of Windows 7 rather than the RTM, hello and welcome to Yesterday my well scrubbed friend. Install RTM and youll never use any other OS for a long time
-
Windows Vista
Cin... -
Ah crap! Cin went and tied it up. C'Mon 7 pwn um, pwn um.
-
hee hee....Is it bad that I'm switching over this weekend??
Perhaps, I shoulda WAITED!HA~
Nah...Vista has been good to me!

Aww, there's no option for those of us using Windows Server
. I picked Win 7 because I just installed it last night. Working great so far.
-
I can't believe there is an option for 98 and ME
2000 can pass for now.
PS: Anyone using Server w/e as their main OS is a geek.jk

98 SE was one of my favourite Operating systems back in teh day.......
-
-
There's a big difference dude.
you're even using the oldest build of RC, build 7100 -
Have you ever heard of something called........ MSDNAA ???????
kthxbye
PS: I will no longer respond to your intillegence...... -
Don't want the headache of reinstalling.
I'll wait for the Release to the Public version. -
what was the question ?

SpacemanSpiff Everything in Moderation
XP on my Thinkpad, Vista on my desktop.
Windows 7 can wait until I buy a new notebook. -
I miss teh old 98 SE + GeForce II + Sound Blaster Live! Quake III days -
Well, it's kinda weird since when I use Windows, it's usually on my desktop running XP Pro, but I've spent the most time with Vista Business. So there you have it...
-
^^^ Hmm....XP would have been the better choice.
-
Not everyone belongs to Technet or MSDN, and it's kind of annoying when you tell people to upgrade from the RC to RTM. -
kthxbye -
It might be time for someone to pull together all of Maximus' posts about Win7 and changing OS loads and downloading to see where he's been and where he's at.
But then again, it might look something like this:

Guys, give Max a break please.
kthxbye!
Edit: FWIW, the Mods really need to stop putting up the Vista votes.Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
Still on XP...
-
That 7 has more than 3/4 as many votes as Vista says something about the demographic here - very forward looking, and probably mostly people who have already bought a notebook (rather than people still looking for one to buy, as in the What Should I Buy sections). Windows 7 has perhaps 2% of the Windows market now, being fairly generous, versus 25% or so for Vista, in the larger market.

Currently, I was using Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit.
I am planning for Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
NO LOVE FOR 32bit OS! -
I used to have XP, then Vista for a month or so, then XP again, now I have Windows 7 x64 running amazingly well.
-
max can you add windows 3.1, NT 3.5 and win95 to the list? im using Windows 1.01 on a ol laptop i found in the basement
Gonna try to put 7 on here.
-
Guys let's stop the insults, they aren't necessary. Thanks.

win7 deployed on both my main desktop and laptop

It sounds illegal >.<. So, it is legit? -
Windows Black is illegal. Bringing it up here will result in an infraction, so let's just leave that discussion where it is.
-
Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit on both my laptop and desktop. They are both my primary machines.
-
Vista Business 64-bit on my main computer (T500), XP Professional 32-bit on my Averatec 2155, Vista Home Premium 32-bit on the shared home eMachines desktop (as a free upgrade from XP, incidentally).
So mainly Vista.
What is your primary Windows OS?
