Window XP Tablet PC Edition SP3

No Win 7 because of higher power consumption (around 1 Watt), thus shorter battery life, hotter PC and louder fan, and serious problems with software like Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam PDF Revu in combination with a pen.
Maybe it's fixed in the final, then I'll upgrade, probably :)

    1) With Windows 7, I get 1 hour more of battery life thanks to its excellent power manaagerment with the help of the Balanced profile in power management, you get the fastest speed when needed, but half the speed when idle, thus consuming less power, and less heat output!

    2) All software that are compatible with XP and Vista work perfectly on 7, particularly , ADOBE software...I wonder how you got a problem

PS: Hope you tried the RTM (Final) edition and you're not talking about the BETA. But even the BETA ran perfectly in my case

I thought you had only run Win7 for two weeks and then went back to XP because you 'didn't like it'.

Or is there another MaXimus out there that posts here with your UID?

yes i have, and cmon man, stop lying to yourself, you kniow that Windows 7 is what Vista should've been, it is better in every aspect, features wise, looks wise, speed wise, compatibility wise, what have u got to say against this? Even XP to me is better than Vista, but with the introduction of Windows 7, I get the extra power management features of Vista + support for dual core processors (better) with the same responsiveness and even faster than XP at times!

    go figure

LOL @ cool guy, I just saw in your SIG that you are using the RC version of Windows 7 rather than the RTM, hello and welcome to Yesterday my well scrubbed friend. Install RTM and youll never use any other OS for a long time

    2000 can pass for now.

PS: Anyone using Server w/e as their main OS is a geek. :) jk

BTW, how come you're using the RC version of Windows 7 rather than the RTM?

    There's a big difference dude.

you're even using the oldest build of RC, build 7100

Yeah, me too. But it did blue screen occasionally (rarely).

XP on my Thinkpad, Vista on my desktop.

Windows 7 can wait until I buy a new notebook.

You asked him why he's not using RTM, and he said he doesn't want to download it from a torrent. He wasn't accusing you of having a pirated version of Windows 7.

Not everyone belongs to Technet or MSDN, and it's kind of annoying when you tell people to upgrade from the RC to RTM.

That 7 has more than 3/4 as many votes as Vista says something about the demographic here - very forward looking, and probably mostly people who have already bought a notebook (rather than people still looking for one to buy, as in the What Should I Buy sections). Windows 7 has perhaps 2% of the Windows market now, being fairly generous, versus 25% or so for Vista, in the larger market.

Vista Business 64-bit on my main computer (T500), XP Professional 32-bit on my Averatec 2155, Vista Home Premium 32-bit on the shared home eMachines desktop (as a free upgrade from XP, incidentally).

    So mainly Vista.
