If I download Quicktime 7 will it override my MP 11?
I have the quicktime icon on the left side of my taskbar and when I click on it it takes me to their website to download it.
Should I? -

Gom player for everything
-
For those of you with an HP and the HP remote control which stores in the ExpressCard slot, this player works with it completely!
You can control play/pause, volume, fast forward/reverse, etc.
Excellent!
Thanks again! -
If I download Gom player, how will it effect using Media Player 11?
I have "XP media eddition" and do not want to mess anything up.
However my Media Player 11 does not play while downloading clips off the internet. It will freeze up and I have to reboot.
I have not installed Quicktime yet because I'm worried about having a conflict. Although I've had both installed in prior laptops.
Heck I don't know if I should try it or not. -
Different players shouldn't really cause any conflicts (except maybe overwriting the file-type associations, which can easily be changed).
-
definatly songbird, it may still be in its developing stages but its good, best ive tried.
-
When I did the install I went with the standard install, Can I switch it to HQ Mode that was an option when I installed it? I don't think my laptop will have any problem handling it. (Core2Duo, 7200 / 1400x900 screen res)
12/22/2006 never mind, i figured it out, works great! Really like the player. -
whats everyone think of windows media player 11...any noteworthy quirks from 10?
Edit: I installed media player 11, however when I scroll making the window larger and smaller...the transition is very choppy? Does this happen to anyone else? -
anyone know if theres a fix for this?
-
Quintessential for Music, Media Player Classic for videos, been using them since they were in beta and testing, and still am.
If it ain't broken, no need to change to another media player -
iTunes for music or music videos I have in my library to sync on my iPod. WMP for evereything else. Used to use winamp for everything, but don't really have the need or desire to install it on my most recent computer. However I do miss all the ShoutCAST radio stations.
-
Was using media player 11, but switched back to 10 had some problems.
-
I use iTunes for music, and WMP10 for videos, although I have Media Player Classic for those rare files that WMP won't play.

WMP 11 does it for me. It looks nice, plays loud and works with my Inspiron's media keys.
-
Yeah, WMP 11 works with my Inspiron's media keys, so that is my player of choice in Windows. I also use Apple Itunes every now and then.
-
I have now settled on
Foobar for music (specifically because its lightweight but has bit-perfect playback and plug-ins I use)
VLC for DVDs
MPC for other video files -
I use:
1.Winamp for free movies/tv/radio
2.VLC
3.MPC to play mov
4.MPC to play RVMB and RM and OGM and flv(flash video files from youtube, google ect. I have in theory two versions/types of MPC. One plays some file type listed above and the other plays other types like avi/mov/mpeg ect.
5.BSPlayer if i want the video to play as a background on my desktop -
