Voted Other.
iTunes and Foobar for music.
Media Player Classic (+ FFdshow codec pack + Real Alternative) and VLC for video. -
Windows media player 11 with CCCP on windows and Amarok and Kaffeine on linux
-
Windows Media Player 11, Windows Media Player 10, and Windows Media 6.4.
I use them all. I prefer 6.4
iTunes is too slow, although I use them as well. -
WMP 11
MP classic
VLC
Winamp
I like MPC the most for for videos, closely followed by VLC.
For music, I prefer WMP11.
itunes sucks- it would crash frequently and hog most of my system resources if it decided to run at all. So no itunes or QT on my systems. -

Other: Windows Media Player 9. From what I've seen of 10 in real life and 11 on the Web, I just like the look of 9 better, so I never bothered upgrading.

The user with 3 WMPs could also be triple booting.
Or even more simply, s/he could have multiple user profiles on the same OS. -

I have a new one that I never used before untill today that may become part of my every day use. zplayer (zoom player) it comes with the cccp (combined comunity codec package)
I was trying to watch some old james bond movies that I downloaded today that are in divx form.
I was getting a horrible chop/tear in the screen when I played full screen, seems the only remedy was to keep it in windowed form and at its native resolution.
So I tried windows media player, well it played the file perfectly except it was playing the commentary audio track instead of the movie original and there was no option anywhere to change it, it was locked and acted like there was no 2nd audio thread (wich last i checked avi didnt have them... but this one does)
So then I tried nero showtime, well, perfect picture and perfect audio.. but out of sync.. the movie was moving in about half speed while the audio was full speed so that wasnt watchable.
after seeing 3 different effects from 3 different players I knew it wasnt the movie but the programs. I thought CCCP came with VCL so I went to open with that and found zplayer instead.
Opened the movie with zplayer and wow! perfection, no tearing even at full screen, perfect audio, and lots of options and a nice interface, and it even had both audio threads selectable so I could hear comentary or the movie original.
I have no idea why it was like this, its eather vista.. or just a really odd movie format.
I'll have to see if MPC can play the movies fine in XP somtime later. -

I am going to switch to iTunes on my new machine but right now I am using Windows media player it syncs a lot better with my PPC phone

I use WMP and Creative Media Source.

i use the Zune software, because of my Zune
-
Wait...why isn't MPC or VLC on this list?
-
I use a combination of VLC and Media Player Classic, if one doesnt work, then I get the other...if both dont work, its usually a broken file.

I use iTunes only because I used to have an iPod. It's clean to look at and simple to use.
However for the last 6months I've been looking on and off for a replacement and not seen anything as unclutered. From reading this thread I'm going to try GOM for a while to see what thats like. I've tried VLC, Foobar and many others and found them too busy, I just like simple to look at interfaces. I quite like Songbird but I'm always wary of letting a beta program have full reign over my files! (maybe overcautious but it took ages to get all the music on my machine!)
Main thing I like about iTunes is the album artwork browser running full screen. I use a 15" tft as a second monitor on my desk and just have that on it all the time. It's nice to flip through the albums that way. Not seen an equivalent for that yet. -

I didn't mean as in busy like Winamp can be, with the wrong skin, with lots of buttons, extra windows etc etc but in the sense of too much text/info in one go it just looks messy. I like good design etc and Foobar just looks like a programmer wrote it to be functional rather than anyone having designed an easy to look at nice to use UI to go with it. (I'm just very fussy when it comes to aesthetics I guess!)
Which media player do you use?
