So now you got 35 days before they force the update on you because you ran out of pause options LOL. i'll keep metered connection all the time then!
Why don't they just let us decide when it's the best time to update..is it too hard?
-
I'm using Home edition and I can pause it for 7 days only on 19H1. Pro,Enterprise, Workstation and LTSC version can pause upto 35 days and even block feature updates upto 365 days.
I found a bug and you can hit resume/pause many times to push the date further. -
Microsoft is giving up on “Windows as a service” in <May 2019 Update> that is automatically updated outside of your control... Still Half-baked!

If you have problems installing Insider Preview builds try going to C: windows/software distribution and delete all the files in the download folder before attempting to update from a previous Insider build.
Doing this usually stops the installation loops > Setting Things Up > Downloading > Installing and then having the installing stop and then again back to Getting Things Ready
I've had no problems installing 19H1 builds or 20H1 builds after deleting all the files in the Software Distribution download folder. -
Those folders are always deleted before and after update. WU failed always. I download fresh copy and serviced everything offline with my custom tweaked OS image. With WU, I was getting stuck for 3 hrs at Getting things ready....(1%)

It looks like MSDN & Visual Studio [VS] subscribers should be getting the 1903 ISOs today as I saw these 1903 ISOs mentioned in the MSDN Adguard site:
en_windows_10_consumer_editions_version_1903_x64_dvd_b980e68c.iso
en_windows_10_business_editions_version_1903_x64_dvd_37200948.iso
these seem to have build 18362.30 -
It was released long time ago. https://uup.rg-adguard.net/
I think Feature update to 1903 is almost ready. -

You can download the upstreamed UUP from adguard with all updates and most junk obliteraated except UWP apps. Its better to MS CDN which can download at 100Mbps. I got mine at 40Mbps. Russian CDN were slow for me.

1903.30, correct?
Are enterprise and enterprise LTSC one and the same aside from longer update servicing branch? -
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
Did you even read the context of the download link for God's sake or you just like posting for the heck of it?
First of all, it's not 1903.30, 1809 and 1903 are the main edition build numbers. You say it's build 18362.30 just like we are currently on build 17763.437
Last edited: Apr 23, 2019 -
MSFT is notorious for changing build number just a minute before official update. So, by 1903 I meant, build 18362. 1903 is easy to remember and say because build number can change and not everyone can memorize these random build numbers.
I do have 7 in 1 UUP2ISO edition with all versions with me and was confirming whether or not you got the same MSDN ISO with 18362.30 update.
Win update catalog did release 18362.53 update and it refused to install. I heard people who installed it are seeing heavy performance drops because on my PC it did not install. -

Nice to not have to care about it since I am not planning on installing it.
I am getting closer to the point of no longer needing Windows at all. Plus, I will keep using Windows 7 for as long as I can find drivers that work and can activate it. Micro$lop "support" means
nothing to me. I haven't needed or relied upon their support since before Windows 8 was released.

Yeah, let Redmond HQ (NSA) have fully access to your computer. Don’t kill telemetry. They need the info to see if the OS will work properly with your type hardware

Cortana got the sack.
Ink got superglued.
Bloatware removal of apps i don't use have been done.
Only my .bat and .reg for performace/snakeoil hasn't been appiled, AKA NTFS tweaks, Wireless ACK tweaks, Core Parking, Skylake Power settings, Windows Explore caching tweaks.
If Microsoft wants to see how well my system runs it well i guess they can stop messing with my Drivers ooops they can't even that is blocked oh dear, they deserve it putting ASUS Audio drivers on my MSI Laptop without my permission. -
Probably the exactly same thing DX12 brought to the table: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING worth caring about. Except for fairy tales believed by the gamer kiddos excited about chasing butterflies, rainbows and unicorns, no reason to be excited or care. It used to be kind of cute to see the kids excited, but now that the chickens have come home to roost it's pretty obvious that they're just stupid kids, and it's not cute any more, LOL.Ashtrix, Papusan, Vasudev and 1 other person like this.

I was reading that the May 2019 update adds over 7GB as reserved storage for future updates. Has anyone found a way to nuke that? I'm pretty leery that MS will try and use that space with all those updates to service PC's and upload them on the net.
https://hothardware.com/news/micros...-may-2019-update-minimum-storage-requirements
Microsoft doesn't give any indication on why the storage requirements have changed so drastically since the October 2018 Update, but some are speculating that it partially has to do with this newest release reserving 7GB of storage for updates. This "Reserved Space" is needed to hold temporary files that are needed to ensure that Windows Update can get its job done without throwing up an error message due to a lack of disk space. -
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
You mean the shippedwithreseves thing? That's only 7GB but here's how to disable it:
https://wccftech.com/disable-windows-10-reserved-storage/ -
Man, I have had a gut full of the rubbish from the Redmond Retards. I let the my disposable Windows 10 Cancer Edition apply updates. Lovely. And, this is why I don't allow updates on an OS that I actually care about.
The version of RTSS bundled with MSI Afterburner won't run due to an certificate issue and bypassing it still doesn't work. UAC is disabled and their Nazi filth is still trying to play god. Fortunately, uninstalling it and running the standalone RTSS works.
RTSS blocked after latest Win 10 update 7/3/19
I am the Administrator, and I have this feces turned off. This rubbish "feature" should not be working/running/functional. Bastards.

just to check, you did disable smart screen for both apps and Edge from the Group Policy Editor right? -
I just installed win10 1903 and had the lastest version of Intel graphic installed manually, but then Windows update downloaded and installed older version of Intel graphic driver
. Why did it do that?
-
Optimus are black-listed for time being... Blocking upgrade will make it worse since one wrong move by MSFT and all Optimus laptops become garbage after a update.
Thanks. +Rep added.Papusan likes this. -
MSFT is quite strict nowadays with Certificate and on par with Linux as well, there's a flip side to it as well, some CDN serve malware packed archive esp. for MSI afterburner and similar. That's the reason I download everything from reputed sites such as MG,Techpowerup!,Guru3d and filehippo. I accidentally download malware dropper modified MSI AB once and defender removed it for me.

Typical Micro$h4ft. They think they know better. And will continue screw up! You need to learn how to close the door. Or it will be really dangerous!

Yesterday, I was trying to update MSI AB to 4.6.1 and weird error was being thrown, RTCore.sys/dll can't be copied!!! I simply renamed those conflicted Rivatuner dlls to .old and retried the installation and now it works. Looks like developer has locked R/W access to prevent third party SW to access Rivatuner.
