Yes they all are, in addition, I also use Winaero Tweaker which makes things easier since it has a lot of those tweaks in one nice UI. Except for the tweak which allows the power icon in the taskbar to show you the estimated battery life remaining in minutes, that is broken in Winaero Tweaker so I use the reg tweak manually which is also in the guides.
I have no problem with you man, it just sounded like you were accusing us of using a cracked version or at least that's how it sounded like back then. We're good.![]()

That is cool because I will be around trying to get LTSC configured. I have alot to learn. Just don't want to bugger up a new X170 trying to figure it out. -
I know this is a very minor thing but one thing I miss about older builds (Like the RTM 1507) of Windows 10 was the original login screen wallpaper and the fact that the wallpapers didn't blur. Just gave Windows 10 more personality much like how older versions of Windows had some cool login screen wallpaper, even if this is just an alternate version of the original default wallpaper. Kind of a minor thing to nit pick about but though it was cool. Wish it was still the same on modern builds today.

Micro$haft just can't leave things alone, they have to keep adding stuff and messing with stuff thinking that change is progress when they're just making the OS more horrible with every new update. Take for instance, soon, we will have no control panel, everything will be in the crappy settings app.
If you remember the first build of Windows 10 (Threshold 1), that was super fast and snappy, like Windows 7 on steroids with support for moden hardware. We still had the classic default apps settings in control panel, now it is just getting heavier, uglier, and stuff all over the place. Just try setting your default PDF app for example and you'll know what I mean.jc_denton, support needed and Papusan like this. -

I hear you about microscam. I don't know much about 10 though cause I am still using 7. I have a hard time switching just because something new comes along. Just when I get familiar with the way something works they have to release something new.
That's what we get for being totally dependent on technology and selling ourselves into slavery to the corporations so they can monitor everything we do on our computers, steal our personal information, record, track, and sell it.
I really like the idea of a bill of rights for our data. Whoever owns our online data owns our online person.
It has become a requirement in many cases that we have to use tech to accomplish things, and since we have to use their platforms and devices, then they shouldn't be allowed to require people to trade their personal information, and data, for the privilege of using the tech and platforms.
This is the illusion of consent, because there isn't really a choice. At least not one that involves being part of society.Last edited: Apr 12, 2021 -
April 13, 2021—KB5001342 (OS Build 17763.1879) + KB5001404 as SSU | April 13, 2021
Highlights
- Updates to improve security when Windows performs basic operations.
- Updates to improve security when using input devices such as a mouse, keyboard, or pen.
- Addresses an issue in which a principal in a trusted MIT realm fails to obtain a Kerberos service ticket from Active Directory domain controllers (DC). This occurs on devices that installed Windows Updates that contain CVE-2020-17049 protections and configured PerfromTicketSignature to 1 or higher. These updates were released between November 10, 2020 and December 8, 2020. Ticket acquisition also fails with the error, “KRB_GENERIC_ERROR”, if callers submit a PAC-less Ticket Granting Ticket (TGT) as an evidence ticket without providing the USER_NO_AUTH_DATA_REQUIRED flag.
- Addresses an issue with security vulnerabilities identified by a security researcher. Because of these security vulnerabilities, this and all future Windows updates will no longer contain the RemoteFX vGPU feature. For more information about the vulnerability and its removal, see CVE-2020-1036 and KB4570006. Secure vGPU alternatives are available using Discrete Device Assignment (DDA) in Windows Server LTSC releases (Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019) and Windows Server SAC releases (Windows Server, version 1803 and later versions).
- Addresses a potential elevation of privilege vulnerability in the way Azure Active Directory web sign-in allows arbitrary browsing from the third-party endpoints used for federated authentication. For more information, see CVE-2021-27092 and Policy CSP - Authentication.
- Security updates to Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Apps, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Office Media, Windows Fundamentals, Windows Cryptography, the Windows AI Platform, Windows Hybrid Cloud Networking, the Windows Kernel, Windows Virtualization, and Windows Media.
Remember the servicing stack update must be installed first.

- Addresses an issue with evaluating the compatibility status of the Windows ecosystem to help ensure application and device compatibility for all updates to Windows.
- Addresses an issue with a race condition between Task Scheduler and the Workstation Service. As a result, users cannot automatically join a hybrid Azure Active Directory (AAD) domain and error 0x80070490 is generated.
- Addresses an issue with a partial Service Connection Point (SCP) configuration that causes dsregcmd.exe to stop working. This issue occurs because of a case-sensitive domain ID name comparison that occurs when joining a hybrid Azure Active Directory domain using single sign-on (SSO).
- Addresses an issue that accidently triggers hybrid AAD joining when the Group Policy “Register domain-joined computers as devices” is set to DISABLED. For more information, see Post configuration tasks for Hybrid Azure AD join.
- Addresses an issue that causes lsass.exe memory usage to grow until the system becomes unusable. This occurs when Transport Layer Security (TLS) resumes a session.
- Addresses an issue that includes kernel mode rules for .NET applications in Windows Defender Application Control policies. As a result, the generated policies are significantly larger than necessary.
- Addresses an issue that causes Azure Active Directory (AAD) Work Accounts to unexpectedly disappear from certain apps such Microsoft Teams or Microsoft Office.
- Addresses an issue that might generate a stop error when Docker containers run with process isolation.
- Addresses an issue that causes automatic enrollment and certificate retrieval to fail with the error, “The parameter is incorrect.”
- Addresses an issue in Task Scheduler that causes monthly tasks and tasks scheduled for 0:00 UTC to occur at the wrong time.
- Addresses an issue with Windows Virtual Desktop sessions. A blank list of output devices appears in the Windows Sound Settings app when you plug in a new audio device during a session.
- Addresses an issue that resets the speaker configuration when you cancel the speaker configuration wizard.
- Addresses an issue that prevents you from turning on the flashlight utility when the Camera application is in use.
- Addresses an issue that might prevent an application screen from working when using a Remote Desktop ActiveX control that is embedded in an HTML page.

July 6, 2021-KB5004947 (OS Build 17763.2029) Out-of-band
Highlights
- Updates a remote code execution exploit in the Windows Print Spooler service, known as “PrintNightmare”, as documented in CVE-2021-34527.
This security update includes quality improvements. Key changes include:
- Addresses a remote code execution exploit in the Windows Print Spooler service, known as “PrintNightmare”, as documented in CVE-2021-34527. After installing this and later Windows updates, users who are not administrators can only install signed print drivers to a print server. By default, administrators can install signed and unsigned printer drivers to a print server. The installed root certificates in the system’s Trusted Root Certification Authorities trusts signed drivers. Microsoft recommends that you immediately install this update on all supported Windows client and server operating system, starting with devices that currently host the print server role. You also have the option to configure the RestrictDriverInstallationToAdministrators registry setting to prevent non-administrators from installing signed printer drivers on a print server. For more information, see KB5005010.
If you installed earlier updates, only the new fixes contained in this package will be downloaded and installed on your device.

Hello all.
Bare with me as it's just my 2nd day on Win10. I bited the bullet and switched from win7 to Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 (x64) thanks to this topic.
Overall I'm happy with it, it's fast or even faster than Win7Sp1.
Even though I'm on 11yr desktop (crazy GPU prices prevent me from upgrading), the full install took around 12min. Other tweaks took almost a day but I wanted it to look and feel almost like win7.
For old PC like this (anyone runs on older?) I just had to create dvd iso (PowerISO did it no problem). Usb stick done with rufus just froze my bios as soon as I plugged it in (GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD4, P55 mobo). Probably old bios not supporting usb boot (it had bios usb settings to make it work though), or maybe something wrong with pendrive.
Anyway after clean install I treated it with:
1) 2021-08 Servicing Stack Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB5005112) (KB5005030 wouldn't even install without it),
2) 2021-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB5005030),
3) ndp48-x86-x64-allos-enu (Framework 4.8),
4) 2021-08 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64 (KB5004332),
5) O&O ShutUp10 - Everything off.
6) WPD.app - just telemetry button for safety. Nothing else to not interfere with O&O ShutUp10. If I applied all (-without advanced) on previous install, I couldn't even load Settings>Update&Security panel, so something just broke it and I don't have time to check what.
After this:
1) went to Settings>Update&Security>Windows Update and tried to update - error - so tweaks from O&O ShutUp10 worked just fine. Watched net movement graph in Task Manager for couple of minutes, zero movement,
2) checked Settings>Update&Security>Windows Security>App & browser control>scrolled all the way down>Exploit protection settings> turned all to "Off by default". Maybe shouldn't do that?
3) did some registry tweaks, disabled services I don't need, like Xbox, smartcard, printers etc. Left network settings alone (disabled just Client for Microsoft Networks in Ethernet Properties). I'm not so sure to disable anything else. Some enable just TCP/IPv4 and TCP/IPv6 protocol.
Screens minutes after boot:
Booted up without network, processes go down 80+, so there is probably room to disable some network settings:
Botted up with network, let it sit for around 20+ min, literally 0 network and cpu activity, so I think it's debloated properly:
But maybe I missed something?
Now to the meritum...
I have just some quirks that are new to me on this system and I can't seem to fix/get rid off. I even reinstalled just to check if its same on clean system before any tweaks and updates, and its the same.
A) Sometimes I get this permission windows, when I click continue it lets me do anything as admin, so what's the point. It just one extra click but it's annoying and intrusive. Nothing from webs helped disabling that.
or
B) Minor, but ome program icons on desktop get this UAC shield. They just open normally without any warning, so again, why UAC on icons..
C) Might be hardcoded, but before I get to the desktop, I see sign in screen with my picture and name that just loads for around 2-3s before I get access full access. Why there is no way to disable this?
The only thing I could do is regedit it to make it have same wallpaper as my desktop so the transition is smooth. Still it steals some time (msconfig no GUI boot didn't help).
I'll just note all this happens with UAC disabled and I'm only one using this PC, so no passwords etc, I have all admin rights (I hope?).
I would be happy with a fix just for A) as it really seems odd.
Also thanks for all the knowledge here (and to google that directed me here hehe). Really happy with change. Wish the next LSTB version will be the same, then we will be safe for next long years.

Microsoft Windows Server 2022 LTSC - Datacenter version 21H2
build 20348.169 X64 (c) Microsoft Corp
I came across this today, anyone else know ?
Is it bonafied ?
The only hint I can find is this
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...b5005039-b6268692-49ff-459a-ac8a-04788091fe0b
It *kinda* validates the build number but does not specify if it's LTSC.

edit:
Looks like it is bonafied and only came out a few days ago.

For people who have WMR, anyone tried running LTSC with MS Store installed, does WMR work?
Recently had to downgrade my Windows 7 laptop to Windows 10, so naturally went with LTSC. Man, it's so much better than consumer Windows 10, made me really tempted to replace Pro with LTSC on my desktop as well... I just need WMR support though...Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

Edit: worked out fine.
Oof had a virtual job interview and the client wanted to use MS Teams, which I've never used before so we fired it up but I could not get the microphone to work. ---Yes I feel shame for admitting this on this forum. Head bowed low---- This is on the tongfang below, win10 2004. So we switch to zoom and all is well but it keeps freezing so we have to reschedule. HR lady was not pleased and told me to MAKE SURE it's all good for tomorrow, sweating even bigger bullets than is normal for an interview, lol
So now I'm thinking of using my old precision m4600 because I've used it in the past for webex with no problems, still had Win7 on it then. BUT it now has----LTSC---- with all the tweaks for privacy so now I have to allow MS Teams all over it, ugh. So there is no camera app but I did get a 3rd party free one called webcamoid and it does use the webcam. I've installed MS Teams AND Zoom. So should I be good to go without the default Camera app? Any tips or tricks to help me make sure all is good? Do I need to go in to the mic and camera permissions and just allow everything?Last edited: Sep 30, 2021Spartan@HIDevolution and JRE84 like this. -
I’m running LTSC 2019 in a virtual environment for stock trading, and I wanted to move my desktop to LTSC. Should I wait for LTSC 2021 or go with 2019? I’m running 21H2 on right now, and it is bugger than the prior version for me. So I wonder if that would translate to LTSC as well.

LTSC 6 months on, been perfect, 100% stable, no OS annoyances whatsoever to report.
O&O + some firewall entries for privacy + the minimum of needed Dell drivers.
Zero problems with any of the monthly MS updates.
Great OS, simply runs laptop and programs without interfering.

I'm really loving running LTSC 2019 as well. The only thing that I really missed was the Windows Photos app but a free open source app called ImageGlass seems to a good alternative for me.

One comment, wide andgle .jpg's from (Samsung) phone refuses to show, need to open them in some editior and resave (wo any changes), then they open fine. Or open in another viewer. Not many of those so no real problem.Spartan@HIDevolution and Papusan like this. -
