If Microsoft is only testing on virtual machines (VM), seems to me that is the only place Windows 10 should run; otherwise, you're just gambling if things will work or not. This video makes me just a little more happier I went the Linux on the HOST and using Windows 10 within a VM route almost 2 yrs ago.

AdDuplex: Windows 10 1903 now at 45.5% in September 2019
deskmdder.com | Sept 26, 2019
Compared to the earlier versions and so close to an update to a new Windows 10 version, the shares are very fragmented. Looking at the figures from April 2018 , shortly before the start of Windows 10 1803, the Creators Update had a share of 92.1%. Of course that's a huge difference and the Redmonders will not be happy about the current numbers.Vasudev likes this. -

Microsoft Just Hid The ‘Use Offline Account’ Option For Installing Windows 10, Here’s Where To Find It Hothardware.com | Sept 29, 2019
For the majority of our audience, chances are that Windows 10 is your operating system of choice for your desktop or laptop system. Since the operating system first launched back during the summer of 2015, it has become Microsoft’s fastest growing Windows release to date with a total of 900 million active users.
However, for those that don’t want the “full” Microsoft treatment when installing Windows 10, the folks in Redmond are [slightly] changing up how you can create a local account when doing a fresh install of Windows. Microsoft would prefer that you create a Microsoft Account, which allows you to sync information across multiple devices including passwords, Microsoft services ( Xbox Live, OneDrive, Office 365, etc.), user settings and the like.Ashtrix, Vasudev, Robbo99999 and 2 others like this. -

Confirmed: Windows 10 Setup Now Prevents Local Account Creation
Chris Hoffman | Howtogeek.com | 3h ago
How Windows 10 Home Forces a Microsoft Account
The screenshots in this article were taken while installing Windows 10 version 1903 Home—that’s the current stable version of Windows 10, also known as the May 2019 Update.
During the first-time setup process—either after you install Windows 10 yourself or while setting up a new PC with Windows 10—you’re now prompted to “Sign in with Microsoft” and there are no alternate options.
On Windows 10 Professional, there’s reportedly a “Domain Join Instead” option that will create a local user account. But that’s only on Windows 10 Professional. Windows 10 Home doesn’t have this option at all.
Perhaps a future version of Windows 10 will refuse to allow account creation until you’re connected to the internet. “ After all,” Microsoft might say, “Telemetry shows most people just create Microsoft accounts.” -
This says different: https://www.ghacks.net/2019/09/30/h...ndows-10-1909-if-the-option-is-not-available/
Besides, there has to be a way to hack this. I think MS has no idea what are they doing anymore, they just throw sheet (of paper) on the wall to see what sticks. BTW anybody knows why do they insist on MS account so much? Easier to track telemetry? more money for telemetry attached to account with multiple devices and phones? Trying to ensure people stay connected to internet for better telemetry flow? -
"Using machine learning to improve the Windows 10 update experience"
- To ensure that all PCs have a seamless update experience—regardless of their differences—we use a combination of testing, close partner engagement, feedback, diagnostic data, and real-life insights to manage quality.
- Machine learning helps us detect potential issues more quickly and helps us decide the best time to update each PC once a new version of Windows is available.
- With Windows 10, version 1903 (the May 2019 update), our third iteration of using ML in a feature update rollout, we can now evaluate 35 areas of PC health and the process will continue to evolve with additional health measures to improve your update experience.

Hey Microsoft! Trying to use AI to know if your product roll out is working smoothly, isn't working too well. No wonder the Windows 10 User Upgrade experience is more and more of a failure.

Not sure if these suggestions should work. But the question is, WHY IS IT NECESSARY IN THE FIRST PLACE!!??!!??

^^^ thing with the local account, people on forums will know what to do, and make choices due to having knowledge. MS philosophy is to ensnare the general population, who knows nothing (and even less), easy, defenseless prey. And to keep people defenseless, the last thing MS (and 'the others' btw) wants to do is to give understandable, clear and accessible information.

ie. You format, due all your tweaks, install all your drivers, disable telemetry, install your apps, go online, life is good. Then you wanna install some apps from the Microsoft Store because you need to like driver related tools and whatnot, you sign in to the store and if you don't take care and forget to hit the "sign in to Microsoft Apps only" but rather hit the NEXT button, boom!!! all your hard work goes down the drain and the account gets converted to a Microsoft account silently, you will notice the next time you reboot it will ask you for your Microsoft Account password and good luck on converting it back to a local account, there is a way but they played with the wording so I had to research it for a while to help a friend out who had this happen to him.

Really Funny how the normie tech crowd around many blogs I read and the Shillpress are attracted to this.
Allow me to fill the gap
First of all this is M$ we are talking, I wonder all the people who are cheering are enjoying their Windows 10 installation which constantly updates and breaks things so that they get Enterprise get stable releases. And how the latest fiasco of removing Local Account option from the Installation.
Next they blasted Win7 and 8.1 with Telemetry crap and bloatware on Win10 pre-installed like Candy Crush and ruining Windows permanently with As A Service model, esp enforcing Office platform to 365 subscription removed offering of a Standalone Office 2013/2016 type installs and forcing C2R office 2019 which works only on Win10. they killed USB3.0 drivers for Win7 and bribed Intel/AMD to run the new HW only on 10 and enforcing all the people to run their spyware junk with perpetual unstable OS by removing options.
Then let us take a look back at history, the death of Windows Phone, guess how the developers never showed interest when Nadella came to power ? Chevron Unlock, I don't know if the AT people know the Regedit and .cab extension execution on Windows Phone making it truly powerful pocket computer back in the day, that guy destoryed the developers who are doing that hacks by sending C&D lawyers to their homes and brought the whole site down and restarted by making a 99USD fee for development and removed options to hack and run Registry edit etc, " Chevron Unlock XDA"
And how Surface lags and throttles all the time and battery issues we know brother @Papusan posts everyday about truth yet the Insta and latest koolaid crowd are queuing for this junk, and all HW issues plus the goddamn garbage pricing, plus UEFI needing certification from Linux flavors. They have an Internal policy of " Embrace and Extinguish" and this perfectly suits with WSL agenda they have, the CEO wants to take all the OS installations on Enterprise from Linux to this WSL Windows by making the Kernel and Hypervisor and Containerization all under one proprietary lock down OS, they might OSS a few but the business will be only made from Azure, Office and other AaSS models. And future is worst with this GaaS from Project xCloud, Stadia, PSN joke, A FRAUD.
Next we know how UEFI Class III has Flash Write Protection and disable CSM by ruining the BIOS controls this is already in place with all the BGA trash on the Notebook market no more CSM options so no more Win7, esp on the Alienware with PCH Boot gaurd and pretty sure they enforce proprietary low level firmware to ship their Spyware tracking (LinkedIN is their own, they support NSA data collection program) and their Edge is now Chrome backed essentially killing options of Firefox by joining hands with the bigger enemy creating a tighter grip on the Internet. and Computing Hardware.) and with BIOS EOL in 2020 it's all great right ? Less and less control, That's why I'm buying a PC soon either see the Z390 Dark or new Comet Lake new Z490 enforced BS or the X570 boost clock praying Ryzen, or the new CSL X HEDT X299 lineup or the new TR4 TRX40 lineup.
The Samsung phones have KNOX and they Utilize a full secure layer offered by Qualcomm which has Android Boot Chain control, that's how Sony is able to blow all fuses on their Xperias regarding the Netflix DRM for HDR 1440P which uses Widevine from Google and other Safety Net BS, and the Display features like Image Processing on Bravia mobile engine and the Audio Engine processing, along with Camera Post Processing, Note - LG doesn't allow US unlocks anymore sadly, EU is fine and they don't break, Exynos breaks Knox and warranty trip also Samsung Pay, Google phones have been following Nexus days which don't break anything but no one uses them Pixel 2 Xl and 3XL don't even have many official ROMs due to the A/B active and Inactive slots system ruining the Traditional Android Recovery flashing, while the new Pixel 3 has Dynamic Partitions and Logical partitions which ruin the whole thing again and they fused the important partitions by making the Phone useless without a PC nearby for performing such tasks from Recovery partition since it needs Fastboot flashing to run TWRP on it, and future is the garbage CPC funded Read Only EROFS Filesystem innovation from Huawei not allowing user to do any changes, infact their EMUI only allows their crap. Want to know more about Android downgrade ?
Sad that these revelations won't be popular as all are subverted.
Finally coming to HW,
Their Win10X which is supposed to run on Custom Intel chip which is a Surface Neo, will be a castrated OS which can only run UWP garbage or run x86 in a container (Google on how Chrome OS runs Android apps in a Sandbox and effectively kills how the Filesystem is interpreted and runs blown up UI, it took so many years to make the crappy Chromebooks runs Linux with Crouton, another Chroot without any native Bootloader level option of Dualbooting) which won't have any controls on the Low level HW of the Computer like CSM. The Chip will be custom like the AMD one from new Surface (Latest throttling mess and no way of controlling through Throttlestop or any and will have all marketing extravagant garbage - cTDP, Terminal Velocity boost, Ryzen Boost fiasco drama etc) and you won't control anything or tune it's performance, I suspect the ARM flavor of the Surface Duo which runs Android won't have any kernel source or even if it has expect a custom Bootloader with ton of UEFI and million other Fuses that Qualcomm provides to enable a perfect chastised product.
On top this doesn't have an SD slot for Expansion or running an OS on a Sideloader device like Switch or HTC HD2, or extra space for contingency storage, enforcing OneDrive bs. This one doesn't have a 3.5mm jack nor any Media consuming features, even the 3:2 panel is garbage for everything, also the bs Surface Wireless buds which need another bloatware app
( Bose app had some spyware issues, and all BT sets have this BS apps system, Jaybirds one app, Beats one app, Anker one app to use and offer inferior sound massively low quality just for no wires, esp the Drivers they use. No hybrid drivers ever, at max they will have a Balanced Armature with a puny Dynamic Driver which will be of garbage tuning, add the size and heft due to Li-Ion battery which adds up the Planned obsolescence principle of limited battery cycles)
and the Bitrate they have, even Sony true wireless junk doesn't have their own LDAC, forget AptX which is max 320kbps and AptXHD at sub 550Kbps without using BLE, everyone is copying Apple crap decision while people across the world use only elcheapo buds or from Anker, Jaybirds to the more expensive yet worse sounding Beats, Bose and all and giving money to them instead of their first party junkware, how many bought - Samsung galaxy buds, Pixel buds. But look how Apple has successfully subverted their user-base by removing jack and earning billions - AirPods would account for a gross profit of $5 billion. As always any mass market targeted shiny product is as usual most inferior trash ever. And getting top marketshare at 60% by just those stupid buds which don't even have 320Kbps bitrate datarate, and this is 2016 Apple 49Cents/Dollar share on every wireless set, more here on the article. While my LGV30 has top class engineered HW from ESS9218P to the foolproof Bootloader unlock ) It's a joke when all these companies are emulating Apple in building their own walls for Orwellian bs and draconian drama from BGA HW, (Oh the removable SSD on the new Pro X is a proprietary junk from the looks of it, While I just purchased my new 860 Evo 1TB mSATA since they are dwindling in stock and probably will be the last mSATA top quality drive for my beloved Ranger.)
But yeah the Sheep are too much invested in these junk vs the last bastion left, DIY PC market where you are in control rather than being controlled like the movie Equilibrium, we are just a few steps from it, guess already there with the latest PC agenda drivel in movies and games.

Redmond presented the Surface Duo to wild gasps. But it insisted it isn't a phone. What is it, then? Now that's a question for the marketing department, one it tried hard to answer.
I'm trying to imagine Steve Jobs standing on stage, presenting Apple's new phone and saying: "Make no mistake, this product is a Mac."
Instead, Apple decided to admit what it was and even tell you how best to hold it to make calls. -

Microsoft is screwing up on the Office updates - pure chaos
Deskmodder | Oct 08, 2019
Hard to believe, but Microsoft is celebrating too much. Because in the update catalog, the Office 2016 updates, which were released on October 1, are now dated with the 8.10. But that is not all.
So far, in the update catalog, you could download the Office updates no matter what as * .msu file in the update catalog and then manually install by double-clicking, so it's strange cab files. If you open the cab, an xml and an msp file are included. This does not only apply to the latest updates. As far as tested, all previous updates have now been released as * .cab updates. -
Funny how ms got in deep love with android, must be the ultimate manifestation of a "can't beat them, join them" situation. Adobe Pulls the Plug on Venezuela, Thousands of CC Users Cut off From Their Apps
by btarunr Yesterday, 12:50 Discuss (20 Comments)
With U.S. economic sanctions on Venezuela taking effect, Adobe discontinued its Creative Cloud (CC) subscription service in the country, stranding thousands of creators without their creative apps. Adobe switched to SaaS-only in several markets and the only legal way for creators to use popular Adobe apps such as Photoshop, Premier, Acrobat, Lightroom, and Illustrator, is through CC. Much like Steam, CC is a DRM platform that lets you subscribe to Adobe apps on monthly or annual payment plans, and provides you with the latest versions of the apps, with regular updates. You also get access to cloud-storage an asset library, and a social network of creators.
Adobe's exit from Venezuela isn't sudden, the company has given Venezuelan creators until October 28th to download any content stored on their accounts. From October 29th, Adobe's servers will longer respond to requests from Venezuela. This also means Creative Cloud apps will break. CC authenticates users by dialing home each time an app is launched. If a user is falling behind on subscription payments or if the app can't reach Adobe servers, they are usually given a 14-day grace period before the app stops working. Executive Order 13884 signed by President Trump strips Venezuela of all U.S. businesses, which would include payment processors such as Visa and MasterCard.

Microsoft Announces Windows 10 November 2019 Update wccftech.com | Today
Microsoft has just announced that the company has finalized the next version of its desktop operating system. While we believed it would be called the October 2019 Update, the Windows maker has officially named it "Windows 10 November 2019 Update" with a slightly inaccurate version 1909. -
"Microsoft Now Enables Windows 10 Tamper Protection By Default"
- Microsoft has announced today that the Windows 10 Tamper Protection security feature is now officially generally available for the Enterprise and consumers.
- Tamper Protection prevents Windows Security and Windows Defender settings from being changed by programs, Windows command line tools, Registry changes, or group policies.
- With the Windows Defender becoming a reliable antivirus solution and further security enhancements being added to Windows 10, malware has increasingly made efforts to bypass it.

"November 12 is when the Windows 10 19H2 Update will go public"
- Microsoft’s second major Windows 10 Update of 2019, codenamed as 19H2, is now officially known as Windows 10 November 2019 Update.
- Microsoft is considering November 12 the date that will mark the beginning of the rollout process of Windows 10 November 2019 Update a.k.a. Windows 10 19H2 Update.
- Microsoft won’t bundle the new Chromium Edge with the 19H2 Update, we could, however, see the Chromium Edge taking the place of the classic Edge in 20H1 RTM Build.
I wonder if Microsoft now feels like this on every release...
