New Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Redstone 5 (Build 1809:17763.107)
Download = https://mega.nz/#!fCZFiISR!XfhdQO5kKW5ZZ-Ed46l5lYWhSIOk8Qq-J1BcDCjmfaM
The ordering number is:
1) Adobe Flash Update
2) Servicing Stack (required before the cumulative update), then reboot
3) The latest Cumulative update then reboot
Instructions on how to install CAB files are in the ZIP file
I just name the update1.cab, update2.cab, update3.cab
then I copy/paste the following command in an elevated command prompt:
dism /online /add-package /packagepath:C:\update\update.cab
Obviously you want to place the update in a folder called update in the root of C:

Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17763
By Dona Sarkar and Brandon LeBlanc
UPDATE 10/30: We have released the Windows 10 October 2018 Update Build 17763.107 (KB4464455) to Windows Insiders in the Slow and Release Preview rings. This Cumulative Update contains the same fixes as Build 17763.104 plus these two additional fixes:
- We fixed the issue where dragging (extracting) files from a .zip file in File Explorer to a write-protected location you don’t get a “Do you want to replace these files” prompt and the copy action fails silently.
- We fixed an issue causing roaming profiles to not work correctly.
And the Windoze OS update mess continue for Win 7 as well

What happened to KB 4462923, the October Win7 Monthly Rollup?
You can download and install it manually, but in our tests the Win7 October Monthly Rollup is hard to find through Windows Update — and it won’t install automatically. Why?Last edited: Oct 30, 2018Vasudev and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -
So, @Ultra Male - what's the verdict? Is it still a pile of doggy poo, or should I add another drive for a quad-boot crash test dummy?

My dell updated to the original Oct update and I find it works great after settling in.

I am using v1803 until its killed off, I don't have time to Clean install W10 to get one or two minor feature I never use. -

As much as I despite Windows 10, this is one of the fastest builds out there with 0 bugs for me. At least it freakin' connects to my Wifi automatically upon a reboot which was a major problem with Redstone 3 and 4 where they would not connect always after a reboot. It also is the snappiest after you get rid of all the Windows Store filthy apps and disable Telemetry with O&O ShutUp10 -
For example, I hate iPhone and I have been an iPhone user for like 5 years. I anticipated as much as an observer, but have confirmation based on my experience as a user. Thankfully, I don't have to waste my own money on such a piece of garbage, but the point is that my contempt for it is not conceptual or hypothetical. My opinion is based on long term hands-on experience. Same principle here... ' know thine enemy' LOL. Authoritative hate for garbage carries more clout than just being a troll. You sneak in on the Trojan horse and do the damage from the inside out, when it is least expected. More of a seek and destroy mission at this point than a rescue effort.Last edited: Oct 31, 2018 -
Micro$haft's engineers like to toy with emoji and other useless new features, but can't fix the core functionality in their modern OS trash
What if they instead used more time on current OS builds instead of puke/spew out new useless versions two times a year?
Windows 10 bug prevents Registry backup creation Ghacks.net
Current versions of Windows 10, including at the very least Windows 10 version 1803 and 1809, and the latest Insider builds of version 1903, report in the Task Scheduler that the Registry backup task completed successfully when it has not in fact. -

I'm figuring out how to reset my mom's iphone from beta to public iOS. Now, I can't flash anything, even iTunes failed to flash anything. 3utools helped me to Hard reset iOS 12.1 beta. -

But lots of users harvest troubles and plagues from the experiments released from MS' Frankenstein castle at Redmond, no doubt about that. Am browsing tenforums.com now and then, funny to read posts by many of the professional fanboys & worshippers there, even them being hit hard lately (both their pc's and their religious belief).
About w.8.1, my daily\main laptop still on the original install, working perfect and zero problems (see attach.). Would be nice to see 10 someday getting as stable...Attached Files:

It seems Micro$haft managed to get hands on over 16 million unpaid guinea pigs with the fantastic feature “check for updates” button
Damn smart move, spend most of their resources building an update system who push you all to be an unpaid M$ employee
Millions of Users Apparently Managed to Install the Buggy October 2018 Update Before Microsoft Pulled It Back
For the past three years, Microsoft has been working on building an update system that smoothly sends out all its feature and quality updates to hundreds of millions of machines without any hiccups. When the company decided to bypass the Release Preview ring and opened the floodgates to everyone (adopting a “seeker” strategy), it enabled everyone interested in getting the new update or anyone who fell for the benign-looking “check for updates” button to install the update.Vasudev likes this. -
I was one of those people. I don't believe I am an unpaid MS employee by using the update feature built into windows. I do however think that the idiots in the insiders program are unpaid MS employees. That entire program should be ****canned and have hired testers with knowledge and experience for that sort of thing.

How can Micro$haft test new features/builds without own paid employees? Of course they will use all unpaid resources available out there.
Btw...
And not only Micro$haft push trash... Be careful with all the buttons.

Micro$lop uses the public to test their stupid ideas because the sheeple herd is composed primarily of ignoramus idiots. They are unpaid employees because that level of incompetence is unworthy of compensation. But, that is also hypocrisy in the purest sense because they have paid staff that are responsible for all of the cockamamie ideas they have implemented.

A discussion about it is here.... https://www.overclockers.at/number-crunching/the-hpet-bug-what-it-is-and-what-it-isnt_251222
I even reported it to the author of TimerBench and he seems still investigating for it
As all the previous Win10 builds.. they were all using TSC timer (3.23 MHz) but.. on Win10 1809 they are using an unknown timer which translates to (10.00 Mhz)even the author of TimerBench went like [
] and he even got confused which timer is Win10 1809 is using
I even posted it here while showing my OC'sbut it seems no body noticed it
Long story short... after testing & experiencing the snappiness & smoothness switching between 1803 & 1809.. I can confirm that Win 10 1809 have much better snappiness & smoothness than the 1803 but same performance related to gaming & benchmarks
It seems like Microsoft is trying to improve performance at the expense of serious bugs
It seems like nobody cared or knows about it but.. I guess I am the one who discovered it
Anyway... I hope I cleared some confusion related to thisLast edited: Nov 1, 2018 -

Game Mode is a big, fat, ugly, pimple-covered teenager gimmick. Worthless as the tits on a boar. It provides no benefit on the GPU side (unless you consider 0.5 FPS enough beyond a normal margin of error to be called a success). But, this should come as no surprise because... From stupid people come stupid things.

but the link you mentioned is not what I meant at all
what I mean is Windows Timer which facilitates QPC [ Query Performance Counter]
I already shared the discussion & the TimerBench links so anyone get a better idea to what I am talking about
What you mean is this...
But what I mean is this...
I'm sorry if I wasn't clear about it -

I noticed CPU and GPU temps dropped by 5C in Game mode when I am gaming and at the same time if I pause it the temps shot upto 70-80C on CPU and GPU with 5% usage. Seems odd to me!

Some Windows 10 Clocks Didn’t “Fall Back,” Here’s How to Fix It
We noticed this problem on a PC that was powered off when the time changed. When we turned it on later in the morning, it never bothered updating the time. In other words, that PC is reporting a time one hour ahead of the real time. The PC had several hours to update the clock after we turned it on, but it never bothered doing so.
This particular PC is running Windows 10’s buggy October 2018 Update, so maybe this is yet another problem with that update. On the other hand, another PC running the October 2018 Update updated the time just fine.
We don’t know how many people experienced this problem, but we can already see we’re not alone. Make sure to check the clocks on your Windows 10 PCs, just in case.Vasudev and 6.|THE|1|BOSS|.9 like this. -
