After some digging.. what they are doing is illegal.
They can purchase new keys (if true and not generated, or stolen (black market)) in bulk. However, the license says that they can't be sold individually. So, expect that one day, Microsoft pulls the plug, and you needs to purchase a new key. The site has other sites selling the same product (msftkey.net), and the company info is different. This tell you that you got screwed big time.
-
Well thanks for the info. I guess I wasn't able to find out what you did.

I know Win7 is a like yesterday's news now, but there are some avenues for teachers in Victoria (Australia) to get cheaper Win7 (and Office) software.
Even if you are not a teacher, make friends with a teacher in the department and point them to the link below...and you can get yourself a copy of Win7 for $21 delivered. Office 2010 should be released for teacher any day now (again for $21)
NOTE: you need a department teacher login to access the website, so make friends with a teacher (who hasn't already bought too many...like me) and for the $21 (and a slab of beer) you're ready to upgrade! (with a full version of Ultimate 32 or 64 bit)
See link:
Microsoft - Work at Home - ICT Support and Services - School Management - Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
There may be similar teacher pricing schemes in use in other states/territories (In Aus or other countries)...otherwise check out Microsoft Office Discount for Students - It's Not Cheating for 'higher' priced options. -
How did he "get screwed", it was $14.

K7WTHAZ,
did the key you bought work? -

Hey, I'm sure this has been asked before but how can I activate win7 with a normal OEM key when its been installed with an upgrade disc?
Its the 'cannot activate for this version of windows' message or something along those lines. -
Follow Method #2
Clean Install Windows 7 with Upgrade Media -
Should I recover my laptop back to day one out of the box for installing 7 ultimate 64, or just throw it in now after six months?
-
What do you guys think too good to be true?
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate, Full Version (PC DVD) [GLC-00181] - £54.84 : 24 Retail, Online Shop
A bit too cheap. -
Remember if it's too good to be true it probably is.
-
That's what keeps me from buying it.
I asked a few question and waiting for a reply now. -
I've been burned several times from those types of deals. Not doing that anymore.
-
Yea, don't think I will try it. Too risky.
I hate those upgrade offers. Given I'm a student I wish they offered full version rather than only upgrade windows 7. -
It's the same version just activates differently. If you do a proper search you'll find a way around that. It's pretty easy too.
-
Well, I want to have an option of uninstalling it from one laptop and using it in another laptop(which has no prev version of windows) which only retail seems to have.
Is it possible to do that with the upgarde version? Would be nice. -
According to the EULA you can install the OS on only 1 computer. What you'll need to do is you'd have to call MS and tell them your installing Windows 7 on another computer then they'll activate it.
You can also buy a family pack which allows you to install the OS on 3 or 4 computers. -
Family pack is only for the home premium and not ultimate. From what I know.
I like the idea I'll get the upgrade given how much it is. -
How do you do it? I just bought Wibdows 7 pro upgrade 64 bit for $29.99 with my student email. Thanks!
-
It won't work on Wibdows 7, never heard of that OS. Besides the mods frown on that so you'll need to find the answer elsewhere, sorry. It's a fairly easy Gogle search.
-
I am getting ready to upgrade Vista home premium, but my wifes student discount only allows Windows 7 Professional. WIll I be able to install it anyways?
