If I remember right, Lenovo w520 maxes at three with the dock.
HP has 5 displays in select models using the advanced dock:

Without port replicator/docking station 3 displays has been the maximum I remember seen. That also required AMD Eyefinity to be used, no room for nVidia there.

Hi guys. Just thought I'd share my experience with this since I couldn't find the answer when I was ordering. I have an M6600 with a 4000M GPU. I have three external monitors connected (2 DVI, 1 VGA) through an E-Port Plus docking station.

    Hope that helps.

    All,
Both the M4600 & the M6600 support up to 5 total displays when using the advanced dock and AMD GFX cards. 3 total without the dock.
With NVIDIA you get 2 without Optimus, 3 with Optimus, 4 with the dock and Optimus. 2 max from NVIDIA GFX card and 1 or 2 from the Intel GPU.

    Dell-Mano_G,
How would the AMD one be configured? 2 Displayport to Eyefinity dual adapters(one per advanced dock DP port) and then the M6600 LCD?

Heard it from our dell rep and tested it on a pre-production M6600 a few months ago.

While I would not call it 100% stable running 6 monitors, the engineer we were working with said it was due to it being a pre-production version and that the final shipping would be stable.

We have not bought any (due to other issues) but were impressed with the 6 monitor support.

    Hi

I have also a problem with my M6600 with AMD Firepro and with my E-Port Plus:

I want to connect 2 external displays via DVI to my dock, so that i have 3 displays in total (2 extern 1 laptop display).
But I cannot set this in windows (Win 7 Professional). I can only choose 1 external display, never both together. When i try it, win says: You cannot save this setting.
I have tried the original firepro driver on dell website and the new original amd catalyst for radeon graphic cards.
How can i manage it to get both external displays working?

I want to expand my working space. No mirroring.

    Thanks
    -Mr-P-
