Well, the latitude E4300 is very cool, i like it, it has great design, but what the hell they were thinking about when they made the 6-cell battery ugly like this ??? :(
so i can't get it, we paid like 1500$ for great laptop and we can't enjoy it cause of just a damn battery !!
don't you think it is the right time for us to ask about the bay battery for E4300 ? does anybody knows when Dell will lunch the bay battery ??!!
i think i will not use this laptop with this ugly 6-cell batter anymore, i will throw it in a box till getting bay battery !!!!

I don't think any of the current E-Series Latitudes or Precisions have the correct connectors in the media bay to take a battery. Dell won't be making one, at least not for this first generation. Shame, though. I hate how they're going with battery slices and whatnot instead of the bay battery.

The battery sticking out at the back actually makes a useful grip if you want to hold the computer when it is open.

It remains to be seen whether Dell provides battery connectors in the media bay when it refreshes the E series, but there are no connectors on the current models.

I suggest you launch this on Dell's ideastorm.

yea, post it on dell ideastorm.

Personally, i prefer the sticking out battery and slice batteries as it means i dont have to remove my optical drive.

the battery that sticks out really does make it easier to hold!

I like the battery sticking out. It allows for a better grip when mobile.

I personally don't care if the battery is sticking out. All I want is more battery life.

yea me too. not too bothered about looks, but weight/size is an issue. dont want it to be too big.

i suppose when the battery sticks out it causes issues for finding cases etc

I use the same case for all my laptops.

    An REI E-Wrap sleeve.

It is a little big for the 12"s
