    Just wondering, if it's possible to buy the M6500 Covet Chassis and will it fit the regular (silver) M6500?

    I guess it would fit, but I don't think you'll find one without the interior.
    What about a can of spray paint?

    wht do you mean 'without the interior'?? If I've to paint it, I rather paint it Velocity Yellow to go with my Vette.. LOL

    I mean it will be hard to get the chassis alone. I think you'll only get the chassis if you're willing to take the rest of the laptop too.

    Yes it would fit, is the same chassis with different color ... I think Dell sells chassis as spare part just like any other spare part in the notebook ... But this may not be so cheap ... call Dell and check it out & let us know ;)

    okay - so now i'm seriusly considering painting the chassis.. are all the body panel on the M6500 aluminum? Anybody gotta clue on what kind of paint will stick on it.. car paint perhaps !!??
