    Bend it back into shape!

I've done it on a thinkpad or two and my acer aspire netbook.

Yes, it is not bent; what Millermagic was trying to suggest is that you bend it so that it is touching the components once more. If Dell sent you another one, it would also need to be bent into place.

Well I upgraded the processor to t2390 and now the battery icon in the system tray states "Plugged in, not charging". Anyone have any ideas? It was working prior to the processor upgrade.

If you put the old processor back in, does the problem go away? Does it say something like "AC adapter not recognized" in your BIOS?

Fixed the problem!!! The pin on the connector that is on the motherboard was bent. It probably happened when I was putting the plug back in during the reassembly. Thank God I was able to straighten it!!!!!! Everything thing is fine now!!!

Just curious to know, why didn't you upgrade to a better processor. Something that had at least a 2mb L2 Cache? The processor you got wasn't a big jump from the Celeron.
Also you have a Socket 478 not a Socket P so you can't use T9900. (source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socket_478). You are limited on what you can upgrade to.
