HDMI & eSATA are musts for my next laptop (excluding ultraportables).

I would doubt that they would NOT include HDMI.

I need a laptop by mid august - will I be able to have an e series in my hands by then? Also a person here said that a friend has a test unit. Does the test unit have montevina...?

will dell ship these for a few months with penryn?

A lot of students are going to miss out if these get delayed. I want one in hand by the end of July... On the plus side, if they won't be available until after then I can save money and buy a D630 ;)

I also was looking on this laptop. if they won't be avliable soon then I'm going for m1330.
IMHO its stupid to delay a laptop release because of paper issues. why they cannot release new Eseries without Wifi-n and with descrete gpu now?

I was thinking that they might release the e series with penryn on schedule and then refresh later with montevina. Does anyone know if this might happen?

I cant see that happening because the reason everyone will want it is because of the Montevina. And businesses are not going to want to buy the laptops for dozens of employees and then see in a month that it is refreshed, just not very good business.
