To make the story more complete: Yesterday I removed all passwords to see what happened with this laptop overnight (adapter plugged in). It booted two times automatically. How can this happen?!?! No devices in BIOS are allowed to wake up the device. The one software/drivers installed were the ones mentioned above without ANY specific settings. Haven't had so much problems with a notebook ever...

Are there any entries in either the BIOS log file or the System Log of Event Viewer (Computer Management)?

I have attached the events. At 23u47 I shut down the notebook. Everything in between till about 9 AM happened without my knowlegde.

Notebook also doesn't remember bluetooth mouse. Have to reconnect it all the time and sometimes won't connect at all. While with my D830 everything works like a charm.

The first device to wake up is a network card. That might be a clue. Go to the network devices in Device Manager and check under Power Management to make sure "Allow this device to wake up the computer" is not selected. While in Device Manager, check every other device as well.

Also check under Power Management > Advanced Settings > Sleep > Allow Wake Timers that the option is disabled.

Checked all of the above, no indication there why the notebook boots itself.

Have you got hybrid sleep enabled? If so, turn it off.

Also check the BIOS for any wake-up options.

    Hybrid sleep is off
    No timer settings
No devices in BIOS are set to wake up the device (double checked, triple checked, ...)

Installed the new BIOS (default settings, NO changes to power managment, wake up states), the drivers as mentioned above and no changes to default windows settings.

This night I didn't connect the power cord to AC and it didn't boot, only when plugged in it boots at random.

Something, somewhere, thinks it is entitled to wake your computer at night, provided it is plugged in. Intel AMT? Is it the same time each night? What happens if you disable the network connection (unplug wired network, turn off hardware wireless switch) at night?

Intel Active Management Technology is not installed on this computer (hardware component was not selected when ordering)
When plugged in, I was not connected (wired network). I'll try again while having the wireless network switch turned off.
