Hi, Can I put Intel's 4965AGN PCI Mini Express card, basically the wireless card for a notebook, in my Dell Latitude D620 and have it work fine?

Unless people magically know the chipset of your D620 expect few replies.
As far as I am aware the chipset mus support the wirless card - and possibly also the internal antennas.

I'm not quite sure that's the case. As long as you have the appropriate MiniPCIe connector and antenna, and as long as your BIOS doesn't do any funny whitelisting business (and Dells should not), the card should work. Hell, you don't even need the antennas; the card just won't work that well.

For the record, the D620 should have a 945-Series chipset.

This is a fact. The D620 has a 945-Series chipset. But you could use something like CPUZ to get that info if you don't feel like listening to me.

Any laptop with a mini PCI-E interface can use any mini PCI-E wireless card, unless it is one of those crappy Lenovos and whatever that lockout wireless cards.

    The 4965AGN I have uses 3 antennas.

    1. 802.11b?
    2. 802.11g?
    3. 802.11n?

So you may want to OPEN your Notebook and look to see how many antennas you have.

That's not what the antennas are for, and it will work with 2 antennas, although it can't benefit from the extra data stream of a third.

I know it does but I was just wondering if I could look it up and show people that it does.

Thanks for all the answers, I just bought it off amazon and I'll pop it in once I get it and see how it goes.
