    Hi All,

Looking at the Dell Outlet UK, they have-

    E6220 - i5, 250GB 7200rpm, 4GB - £390+VAT
    E6320 - i3, 250GB 5400rpm, 2GB - £415+VAT
    E6420 - i3, 250GB 5400rpm, 2GB - £418+VAT

Now they all come in under £500 Inc VAT, so as a general use laptop (I really dont mind the screen size or lack of DVD) the 12.5" E6220 seems best value.

How quiet do the E6220's run? thats a big thing for me.

Is there any reason to go for the E6320 or E6420 over the E6220?

    Cheers, Rob

    Went for the 12.5" E6220-

    i5 2520m, 250GB 7200rpm, 4GB Ram, W7Pro and 6-Cell Battery.
    3yr warranty.

Just under £470 in total. :)

Well it was pretty painless But-

Upon opening all the items were there but there is a little cosmetic damage to the actual laptop. There are two small nicks on the silver edging, One to the front Right of the display cover and One on the opposite side, just underneath, But this i am not to bothered about.

The two parts I am worried about are the main bottom panel does not sit correctly, In one corner it moves and does not locate in the slot properly.

The Main issue is that after around 4 Hours use the display panel displayed a dead pixel located 1/3 from the left of the screen and 1/3 from the bottom.

    Hmmmm

Interesting, I had the same issue with my e6520 bottom cover not assembled correctly, the cooling grill sticks out on the left side, the lcd is bleeding, all bottom screws heads nearly stripped, screen cover is detaching on the center and right corner, battery not holding the charge, when screen is closed it is not aligned to the base....I have called CS and being told either to return it or keep it as it, no fix or replacement offered even if I have a 3 years warranty. Apparently all the above issues are within their specs for refurbished systems, what a joke.
If you can send it back (i.e. you have a spare laptop) get them to give a full refund and buy another make as there is effectively no customer support / warranty with it (check the e6520 forum)

I have sent an email to customer support, will see what they say. I dont really want another one, would like for the screen and bottom cover issue to be fixed.

The size, weight, general build and speed is spot on, I dont think I would get a new laptop with the features for under £500 new.

I do have a spare Laptop, and Tablet so its not a problem if i get a refund, its just annoying as this is the laptop i really wanted. Pity that there is no Lenovo outlet here in the UK, if i could get an X220 for under £500 it would be ideal, although i prefer the looks/feel of the E6220 to the other Lenovo's we have here at work (Edge/Classic Thinkpads and an R40e)

BTW it must be the same technician who is not able to assemble the bottom cover in right place and destroy the screw heads
