What country are you from? In the US, the default installation you order for the M3800 is Windows 7. You need to specifically configure it otherwise if you want Windows 8. If you're asking if Windows 7 is supported then, yes, obviously, it is, and you can order it with Windows 7 installed.

The Adobe scaling issues are not specific to Windows 8. You will have the same problem in Windows 7. The only way to avoid it (until Adobe gets around to fixing it) is to lower your screen resolution.

What is the resolution on your l502x? You won't have the scaling issue unless you are trying to use the high-DPI display (QHD+ 3200x1800). The reason is you have to scale the app up or everything on the screen will be super tiny. Some Adobe apps don't do any scaling. With a lower resolution screen (1080p perhaps) you don't need to scale the app up.

Yes, M3800 with 1080p display will probably be fine. Things may be smaller than you're used to with the 1366x768 display but not unusably so. Where people are having trouble is with the high-DPI display (3200x1800).

I see , i do hope so. when I get premiere open on it i will let everyone know , might even do a video on it and upload to youtube. yeah i can image it could be awful on the QHD display , which must be disappointing for SUCH a high end machine

Well, this issue isn't really the fault of the machine; it's Windows that's at issue here, and its ancient desktop graphics subsystem... Oh, and Adobe, of course, not adhering to Windows guidelines, too...

Has anyone found the device status lights described in owners manual page 44? I see the on/off buttom, but none of the rest.
