Thanks for posting those. So, the M5000M is the same as 980M as expected. You can see an extra voltage regulator (or whatever) R22 chip on the M5000M so the position of those small chips in between was moved to the right.

Now, some Kepler heatsinks have a protrusion for those which has to be modded to fit between the new R22 positions as e.g. expalined in this thread:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/the-official-msi-gt60-70-970m-980m-upgrade-thread.765058/

I thoguht the same might be true for Dell M6700, but can't confirm it as I can't find any photos of the heatsink bottom side.

But, if oyu say no mod was necessary, I believe you of course. Hmm, just have to get that 970M now. :)

Great news! i have a M6700 + 680M and am thinking of getting the M7710 next update. If M5000M can fit into M6700, that will keep M6700 running for another 2 years at least, yeah!

Will any M5000M work on M6700? Or do i need to look for specific vbios type card?
    Thanks

Yes, my M6700 has been in the DELL for two years to extend the warranty service.( 2012/10/18---->2017/10/19)

As long as it is M5000M graphics, you can replace the appropriate VBIOS.

As for the 7710, I also consider the purchase of.
