After researching and pricing and searching for a few days I took the plunge and my e6510 will be here on Friday.....can't wait.

I had a D830 from the outlet that I thoroughly was happy with. And of course in both cases I am saving a bundle.

Certified Refurbished btw, no scratch and dent or previously ordered new.

    My specs :

    -- Processor: Intel Core i5-540M Processor (2.53GHz, 3M cache)
    -- Genuine Windows 7 Professional
    -- 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz (1 DIMMs)
    -- 160 GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
    -- 6 Cell Primary Battery, 60W
    -- Back-lit Keyboard
-- Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD
    -- 15.6 inch HD Anti-Glare WLED
    -- 8X DVD +/- RW Drive
-- Genuine Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit Operating System DVD
-- Palmrest W/O Finger Print Reader
    -- Dell 1501 Wireless-N
-- Integrated Webcam with digital microphone

    for $749 USD

couldn't wait for a coupon either but oh well

I will be upgrading the ram and hdd when she arrives

    ................

So I want to know from other peeps that bought this model from Dell outlet
what your experience has been, good, bad or indifferent.

Not with shipping or customer service but the 'unit' itself.

Likes, dislikes, probs, fixes, etc. Tweaks......oh yeah

    Thanks !!

My first Precision M4500 from the outlet was defective and would hard lock after a few minutes in windows. So they do ship out some bad apples.

Got it returned quickly and easily and got another one that is rock solid. It was still quicker than having one built. This will be my fifth refurbished dell in about 15 years.

Yes, we just purchased a E6510 from the outlet. Quad Core i7 820QM processor with nVidia graphics, 256GB SSD (Samsung), 4GB memory, 1080p LED screen, camera and DVDRW, Win 7 x64 Pro, 3yr NBD service onsite, for under $1200 shipped. Quite a deal for the top end Lattiude they currently offer.

Got it last night and its perfect. Other than the green sticker on the bottom, I could not tell it had ever been touched by human hands...VERY happy so far. Too bad I had to turn it over to its user....I would really liked to have kept it, much improved from my E6400.
