Does a Latitude E4310 (refurb) come with the Bluetooth ribbon if not ordered with Bluetooth?

I ordered one from Dell, but they've delayed the order twice now. I don't want to take the laptop apart until I'm sure there's one in there or Dell sends me one.

So, would Dell put it in there and just not include the card?

If you ordered the Bluetooth option seperately (at least for the E4300), they will give you a Mini-PCI-E card (Dell Bluetooth 370, which for me, was shipped seperately and arrived before the system), so I'm thinking the system don't include a cable.

Also, based on the positioning of the cable, there doesn't seem to be any reason to include it, for the purpose of standardizing parts, in a system that doesn't have Bluetooth.

They tried to sell me an external bluetooth adapter. I insisted on the internal one that comes with the machine.

I've received the 375 bluetooth card, but am still waiting on the ribbon cable from the link you posted...

If you remove the keyboard, you can check to see if there is a Bluetooth cable.

I removed the keyboard, but can't see where either the card or cable would be. There's black plastic covering 90% of the area under where the keyboard was.

The cable is located in that 10%. ;)

Look at the picture right here:

    Documentation

Step 12, the Bluetooth cable is marked with a red 2.

Thank you. Apparently it isn't there, and that's why I couldn't find it ;)

Has Dell shipped a cable out to you yet?

No, I keep getting emails saying it's backordered. Going on 3 weeks now. I think I might not ever see it.

They cancelled my order yesterday without notifying me. I found it listed as 'Changed' on the website. After being transferred to 3 different Dell Chat reps, she confirmed it was cancelled. Then proceeded to tell me I needed to speak with SMB Spare parts via telephone since they do not have an online chat.

So, I called and waited on hold for 10 more minutes, got transferred to 2 more reps. The final rep said the cancel reason was something along the lines of 'illegal configuration' and it was cancelled. They didn't have the cable in stock -- how, I do not know since they still sell this laptop brand new.

He proceeded to give me the telephone # for a third party vendor along with their part #. So I talked with them and they want $64.95 before shipping, JUST for the ribbon cable. Dell wanted $12.75 shipped for the ribbon cable.

Wow, I wanted bluetooth, but not that badly. So now I have the bluetooth card but no way to connect it...
