    I've never used an encrypted HDD but I wouldn't let this be an impediment. I would hope that the HDD handles the encryption without a performance hit but, if this proves to be an issue, then a replacement HDD is a relatively small cost. So go for the first on your list. If the scratch / dent proves to be unacceptable then you can send it back but, most likely, it will be something small. When the corner of my red E6410's cover got chipped due to an unplanned collision with a concrete floor, I rummaged through the household nail varnish collection and found one that almost matched.

    I will keep looking for a Blue E6410 then, the inventory changes all the time and perhaps one will show up with close enough specs for me.

    Nope no filters on outlet for color. Gotta search each one because the inventory is so wild.
