Reminds me of loading the RAID drivers for XP Pro during setup, I'll do that.

Thanks for the tips, + Rep for you

Can anyone tell me how to do a factory restore on the E6410. I just purchased one from the dell outlet, and it came with a reinstall dvd, but when I used it, no drivers or software was installed and the default profile was the default windows 7 profile.

There is no factory restore. I suggest you read the tail end of the few E6410 threads here... the re-imaging and SATA mode posts should help you perform a clean install.

I had a recovery partition but there was nothing in it. Perhaps try F12 at bootup to see if there is a recovery boot option.

It's really easy... you have WIn7 installed. Now do Windows update, and that should get you some drivers already, enough to get you started well. Once all Windows 7 updates are performed (that means once the updates are done, you restart your computer, and check for updates again, and repeat until you have no more updates).
Go to Dell.com web site, support section from where you can download your laptop drivers. Just download all you need (be sure to select the correct Windows), and double-click on them to extract them and have the setup start for each of them. And voila. It's easy to do, just a bit tome consuming.
Check out our friend GKDesigns guide (see his signature), if you really want a guide... Once you do it, you will notice that it's actually fairly straight forward and there is nothing to it, really.

I'm going to counter what I said before, my new e6410 doesn't have the WWAN antenna wires.

Is this true?. I thought all Dells came with a factory restore.
I am a bit worried you found nothing in your restore partition.
i thought Dell reset all their outlet notebooks back to factory condition i wonder if yours went straight out from being the previous owners?. Its made me wonder about mine now.

I did not buy from the outlet. Is there anything in your restore partition?
