New E6410 owner here who also appreciates all I've learned in this forum, I've found this case to be perfect for my E6410; small and light and just big enough: Amazon.com: Case Logic ENA-114 14-Inch Laptop Attache (Black): Computer & Accessories

I have a quick question everyone.

First, I was curious about CompuTrace. I have a 5yr Complete Care warranty on my E6410. Does that mean I automatically have CompuTrace as well? I thought it was complimentary to Complete Care but I'm not sure.

Second, I run Arch Linux exclusively on my E6410 (runs great). I understand that CompuTrace would only work with Windows. I was thinking that if someone steals my laptop, the first thing they would do is wipe the drive and install Windows, thus activating the CompuTrace. However, I'm curious if having CompuTrace turned on would cause problems for Linux, like stopping it from booting because it's an unrecognized OS? My Arch Linux E6410 is working fine and I don't want to change that.

You'll be surprised how many people wants a displays that everything is large.
I would recommend them to get their eyes check as they might need glasses, but last time I was nice to mention this (cause it's not an obvious thing... and that comes from experience... the reason I wear glasses myself, is because I noticed that my friends can read much further and closer then me (I got one eye with each problem)), the person felt very insulted. So, now I shut up.

Be thankful that it's not 1366 x 768. There's also 1440 x 900 for those who want a bit more real estate. I know that my eyes can handle this but they struggle with the slightly smaller pixels of 1680 x 1050 @ 15.4".

I would enjoy 1680x1050. 1440x900 is a bit too small (I mean work area). But then again, that is because I got used to my 24inch. Before that, I was very happy with 1440x900. Curse large workspace!!!! :)

I wish Dell would do a 14.1" 1680x1050 as well. Lasik was the best thing I ever spent money on :)
